Very pretty traditional room. For one night, we travel through space and time... The view of the sea is exceptional. But watch out for the futons, which are quite thin compared to other ryokan!Slight downside also for dinner and breakfast, which were served as in a gourmet restaurant, without offering cuisine up to par. We enjoy it better elsewhere, and for much less money.Otherwise, thank you for the free shuttle service, and the kindness of the driver! When the ferry arrives, ask the information desk to call the hotel. On your return, reserve a slot at reception.

It is not within the reach of all budgets. But the experience is very pleasant, the evening meal and the breakfast were really very good, plentiful and typical. The service and the hotel itself are impeccable, the hot baths are spacious and pleasant. The only downside was that the room was not great, there were tens of midges in the futons and €400 per room per night out of season (4 people) I was expecting a little better.

Hotel in an excellent location (10 minute pleasant walk to Itsukushima Shrine). They offer a pick up service upon arrival (for the return journey the next day was already complete). Simple but beautiful Japanese-style room with lovely view of the bay. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The only piece of advice I would like to suggest: greater dynamism in reception! Highly recommended

Located right behind the Miyajima aquarium, about twenty minutes walk from the pier, from which a shuttle picks you up upon arrival.|The gentleman at the reception is very courteous. …

I stayed on the last Sunday of August. Our room was a western style room facing the sea, so we couldn't see the big torii gate as it was hidden behind a tree, but the view was very nice. The large public bath was only an indoor bath, but there were few people and I was able to relax.(I wonder if foreigners used the shower in their rooms after all.)Dinner was Kaiseki, and like the others, the amount was just right, and it incorporated a lot of local food, which was also good. Also, there was a smoking booth right next to the room we stayed in, which made my husband who smokes happy ^_^Depending on the location, you may have to go to the front door. There is one thing that bothers me about breakfast (^^;)Grilled salmon in a hot pot? It stuck and was difficult to remove. Why not try putting some non-stick aluminum foil underneath? I thoughtHowever, I was happy with the Chichiyasu yogurt, which is full of local love. This is a good place for families with small children as the aquarium is right in front of them.Evening walks were nice with the sea breeze.

I think it's too expensive for what it is. The dining room and bedrooms are outdated. It doesn't feel good there, it's not warm. The meals (breakfast and dinner) were very bland. Traditional meals but not good, neither gourmet nor appetizing. Lunch is maximum at 8 a.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. No flexibility on meal times.Only 2 positive points:- you can be taken from the hotel to the station for free.- hot baths are very good! And they open until late.
