The coffee is brewed very tastefully, the wooden interior decoration is simple and unique, and the volume of the music is moderate and not disturbing. Recommended to friends planning a trip to Onomichi.

When I used the cafe here, there was a staff member who was working there for the first time, so please go there thinking that the customer service is an amateur.

1. Consumption in the coffee shop this time2. Beautiful scenery and decent drinks3. When using the restroom, be careful not to wear shoes when entering the door. You need to change into slippers prepared by the store (perhaps to avoid damaging the floor?)4. Continuing on from the previous point, I was scolded in fluent English by an idiosyncratic male clerk for pushing the door open without paying attention (maybe there are too many foreign tourists who are not discerning? So he could respond immediately in English)5. Except for the above-mentioned episode, the rest of the store staff are friendly

It is a magnificent traditional accommodation, very well located in the heart of the sacred hill. You have to like hard bedding but they are good quality. The air conditioning also works well. And wake up with the sunrise over the magnificent inland sea! (no curtains of course)The only downside is that there is no bath towel. They can be rented for 200 yen (1€30) which is not expensive but it would have been nice to have them.We spent one night there and don't regret it. Stunning !

It was very clean, the facilities were great, and the view was nice, but there was only one washer/dryer, so I had to be careful...but since no one else used it, I was too careful, and I probably didn't have to wake up in the middle of the night to get a good night's sleep💦

A traditional Japanese-style house with amazing views. Our room was spacious, with superb views over Onomichi, Mukai-shima island and the Seto Naikai (Inland Sea). The lounge and bar downstairs is a comfortable place to relax and read, with a large selection of books and nice chairs to sit in while quietly chatting and admiring the view. As it's a guesthouse, be aware it has shared toilets, bathroom and kitchen. There is also a combination washing machine/dryer that you need to pay to use, but it was very ineffective at drying clothes. The morning breakfast set, served in the downstairs lounge area, was very tasty. From the house, it is a short walk uphill to Senko-ji temple and the surrounding park (which also has stunning views over the town and the Inland Sea) and also a short walk to "Neko no Hosomichi" (Cat Alley). Make sure you buy some dinner in the shotengai (shopping arcade) down near the train station before walking up the steps to the house, as there are very few options to eat near the house. As the host notes in the booking confirmation message, as this is a traditional Japanese house, the walls and floors are very thin with no insulation or noise-cancelling qualities and so you can clearly hear noise from the other rooms. This will not bother everyone but, if some guests are noisy, it could easily disturb other guests. Earplugs could help if you are a light sleeper in the event that other guests are noisy or snore.
