I chose Ryokan Sawaki because I wanted to eat delicious local fish.As expected, the dishes made with the freshest fish were delicious, and the conversation and hospitality of Sachiko-chan, a former Takarasienne head chef, made for a happy time. The boatload of wild sea bream, redfish, amberjack, and extra-large turban shells from the Setouchi Inland Sea was the best.In addition, not only was the room well-cleaned and a comfortable stay, but the location was also within walking distance of the power spot Oyamazumi Shrine.I look forward to hearing from you again.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Sawaki. Chiezo checked us in and was incredibly kind and accommodating. Since we were on bike tour, we appreciated having a secure room to store our bikes overnight, with a variety of bike tools available if needed. We highly recommend the breakfast experience, it was a perfect start to our day. This was our first ryokan of the trip and Sawaki really set the bar high.

It was my first trip to Omishima. Due to the typhoon, I was the only guest staying at my house, but when I entered the room under the guidance of a very friendly Mr. S, I was surprised at how spacious and clean it was. The dishes I looked forward to, such as the boat platter with redfish as the main dish, were extremely fresh, filling and very satisfying. It's unfortunate that the nearby hot springs were closed due to the typhoon, but it can't be helped. The weather was good and it was a memorable trip.

We stayed for 2 nights during Obon with 3 generations of children to play in the sea and go cycling. The food is so plentiful that you can't finish it all, and it's fresh and tastes great.I was finally able to meet Sacchan, the rumored beautiful waitress, and we had a great time. When I talked about the inn, my friend said she really wanted to go there! !I look forward to bringing my friends and family with me next summer! !Everyone at the inn had a great summer memory. thank you very much.

I came to Omishima from Osaka!I stayed for 2 nights during the Obon holiday (*^o^*)The fresh fish dishes were delicious on both days, the rooms were clean, and we had a very comfortable and wonderful time ♡All the staff were very kind, especially Sachiko, the head waiter, who told us all kinds of fun stories, and prepared amenities and toys for the 3 and 4-year-olds so they wouldn't get bored. Sari, I was very happy that both parents and children had fun! There is a convenience store right in front of the inn, and the power spot Oyamazumi Shrine is just a little further down the road, so the location was great! If I have a chance to come to Omishima again, I will stay at Sawaki-san♪Thank you very much Sawaki-san.

I didn’t even know that the local onsen was included in my room package, but the front desk offered to drive me there and gave me a basket with towels and soaps/shampoos for me which was so nice. I was thoroughly impressed with the service here and would definitely come back if I’m ever in the area again. I was a solo traveler (cycling the Shimanami Kaido) and had a great time here.

The highlight is the dinner!I stayed on a plan that included a boatload, and there was a lot of high-quality fish such as stonefish and yellowtail grouper, as well as sea bream, sweet shrimp, and turban shell. There are so many other seafood dishes that you won't be able to eat.We recommend that you finish your lunch early. The facility itself has the atmosphere of an inn that was used for summer training camps for university clubs during the Heisei era, but that's also a good thing. This inn is perfect for the hot season.
