It's probably a fairly old building, but it's kept very clean. The bath is also a very old tiled bathtub, but it is well maintained. The room is separated from the hallway by a sliding door and there is no key.At night I could hear the sounds of rats running. This is something I would like to see addressed.

A spectacular scenic spot with the shores of Lake Biwa right in front of you. When the full moon illuminates the quiet Lake Biwa, you can see a fantastic view from your room. This is my favorite inn, and I've visited it four times this year alone.

Stayed for 1 person at Biwaichi. The atmosphere is reminiscent of my summer vacation, with a cozy and relaxing guesthouse atmosphere. It may be especially recommended for people who are tired of the daily hustle and bustle. As a cyclist, I was very happy that I could ask for my laundry to be done and that I could store my bicycle indoors. As it is located on the west side of the lake, the morning sun reflected on Lake Biwa was photogenic.Next time I try Biwaichi, I would like to use them again.

This inn is located in an old townscape near Imazu Port on the west bank of Lake Biwa.It was founded in 1936, so it has been in this location for nearly 90 years. The building is built on the Lake Biwa side along the road along the lakeshore, and is only about 10 meters from the lake. When you open the window of your room, you can see the entire lake view, with the sunrise over Lake Biwa in the morning, and the sky on the other side turning a deep red in the evening. There are no people walking along the lakeshore, so you can spend a quiet time listening only to the sound of the waves crashing. The building itself is an old Showa era inn. The entrance to the room is just a sliding door and there is no key. There is a mud wall separating the room from the next room, but there is enough privacy that you can hear conversations. The bathtub is tiled, which is rare these days, and the boat-shaped bathtub can easily fill up with just one person. Although it is shared, there were hardly any other guests during my stay, so I was able to take a bath anytime from morning to night. The bathtub was small, but the hot water seemed to be constantly being circulated and filtered. The cuisine is mainly Japanese, but during my stay there, in addition to sashimi and tempura, they also served hiyashi chuka, gyoza, and ginger grilled food, making it feel like a hearty home-cooked meal.Customer service is mainly done by the kind landlady and her daughter. Every time I returned from going out, she brought me chilled barley tea, which felt like coming back to my grandma's house, and it was the first time in a while that I had a homely experience. I hope that it will continue for a long time to come.

I used it for a stay at Biwaichi.Due to various reasons, my arrival was delayed,They were very kind and accommodating, the room was spacious and clean, and the view was great, so I had a great experience. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

A guest house that is not a five star. To my sensibilities, it's absolutely wonderful. It was a very fun memory. If you are fussy about small details, you should choose a suitable accommodation.

I stayed overnight without meals. It felt like I was staying at a relative's house.I had a great time being shown to my room, having some tea, and chatting with the hostess.Although it was winter, I saw a black-headed gull, a migratory bird, in the morning 😃

For seasoned travelers. This inn is often found in this region with baked cedar exterior walls, and although it does not have the latest facilities, it feels like you can enjoy a night in an old private house.I was given a room facing the lake, and I was able to sleep well with the soft sound of the sea at Imazu Beach as a lullaby. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, but we were able to see the night view of Chikubu Island and Nagahama on the opposite shore. You can get off to Imazu Beach right from the inn.

This is an inn that makes you feel like you have stepped into Tora-san's world. The entrance is about 10 meters from the road. When you open the sliding door, you will find a nostalgic atmosphere. Climb up the steep stairs to reach the guest room. There is no key, so open the sliding door and go inside to find a spacious tatami room where you can sleep on a futon. Friendly. I calmed down after asking Naokami how to use it.The bath and toilet are shared, making me feel like I've traveled back in time. It's hard to see Lake Biwa from the room, but as soon as you step out the front door, you can see the beach, and the view of Lake Biwa, including Kaizu Osaki and Chikubu Island, is very satisfying. In the morning, a flock of black-headed gulls plays, and the sunrise right in front of you is the best. did.
