On the map, the location may seem out of the way but public transport ultimately makes it very practical. There were 4 of us staying there and it was a very good memory. As much the city as the accommodation and the service. All good!

The Teppanyaki house turned out to be perfect for us at this time of our stay, to change from the hotel and live “Japanese style”.The house is very well equipped and cleverly furnished, we were very comfortable staying there with 3 people for a few days. Very quiet area with some shops nearby. Bus stop 50 meters from the door of the house, and super easy to get around Kyoto!

Bus access from Kansai Airport was very easy. Many lines passed by to go to all the tourist places while we ourselves were in a historic area very close to nature. It was a real pleasure to experience life in this Japanese house renovated by an architect, we were told: sleeping on tatami mats, taking a bath together in an amazing bathroom and discovering sake culture in our private bar. From the house, located next to the Chemin des Philosophes, we were able, every evening, to explore the restaurants frequented by the students and monks of the neighborhood. We only regret that we weren't able to visit all the nearby places.

This house has a very rare mural of Mt. Fuji. It is a work of famous Sento painter Ms Mizuki Tanaka. The ground floor is a bar counter. You can enjoy your stay in a slightly unreal space.
