I stayed here for golf, but all rooms were smoking.I deodorized the room, but it was so smelly that I couldn't sleep well.Although the hotel, staff, and food were perfect, I was a little disappointed. I would also like to have a non-smoking room.

Very nice spot, we are resident here and we enjoy the hot spring, beautifully receptionist one in particular coming and see my doggy lunetta in the car; very gentle. Lakes and hills, workers are super workers, golf 😲 WOW, restaurant wow, best Coffe in the planet but not espresso, no cappuccino and no 🥐 croissant?I don't know why, other wise I will love enjoy Breakfast over there every day.The hotel director maybe no give attention to this small things like cappuccino and 🥐; and to spot need repaint, but this is a mirror of freedom place, imperfection is art, so I like even if I'm a psyco perfectionist!😁Never saw the rooms but I'm sure the villas have an incredible view.Japan style little different; no robot people around, and no stupid rules to respect, a place with a freedom touch, like western client like!I absolutely advise this place 100%.

I had a Japanese meal, and the taste was good. It seemed like the timing for the next dish to be served was a little early. The morning breakfast also had a wide variety of items, and I was especially impressed with the pork soup, which had a lot of ingredients. The employees were kind, and the windows in the building, including the rooms and bathrooms, were kept clean, which made me feel comfortable. The road from the Nishi-Meihan side is a little narrow, so I gave the location 3 stars.I couldn't play a round because of the rain, but I would like to visit again.

This hotel is located on the grounds of Tarao Country Club in Shigaraki Onsen, Shiga Prefecture. If you drive from the Iga-Ueno area, it will be a winding drive through the mountains. Many people will stay overnight while playing golf, but you can also use it just for overnight stays. The hotel building has twin and Japanese-Western rooms, but there are also more than a dozen detached cottages. The lobby in front of the front desk was spacious and had many sofa seats, so I was able to relax. Guests can use putt-putt golf. The plan included a lunch ticket and a cake set, so we had beef curry, cake, and coffee for lunch upon arrival. The rice and curry roux were separate, and the meat was simmered until it was very tender, and it was very delicious. The room was a twin in room 203. The space other than the bed was spacious as well. I chose Japanese Kaiseki for dinner. We also have shabu-shabu and French cuisine courses. Since the hotel is located on a golf course, I didn't have high expectations, but each dish was of high quality and delicious. Next time I come, I would like to try French cuisine. The best thing about staying here was the hot springs. The quality of the spring water is slightly alkaline and it clings to your skin, making it feel very pleasant. There was also a high-hydrogen carbonated spring bathtub, which felt good as well. There was a large indoor bath, two open-air baths, and two pot baths. The quality of the spring water at Tsuboyu was the best. Breakfast was a buffet. The menu was Japanese and Western, which is common in hotels. The pork soup with 11 different ingredients was especially delicious.

To celebrate my husband and son's birthdays in November 2023, I stayed in a pet-friendly cottage with an open-air bath for one night. 2 adults, 2 year old and 1 year old children, and a dog. It was so good. There were two small children at the restaurant, so the manager was especially attentive to them. I had ordered a surprise cake in advance, so they served it for me. The children's lunch and shabu-shabu were both great. What's more, it was surrounded by a mini golf course, so it was quiet and the scenery was beautiful. It was good that the cleaning was thorough. There are about 3 cottages where you can stay with your pet, and they are far away from cottages that don't allow pets, so I didn't have to worry about bothering them with unnecessary barking. The dog run was also large and was reserved for private use, which was great. There's a pool, mini putter field, golf garden, talao country, karaoke, mahjong, and more, so there's plenty of entertainment to enjoy at any time! I go every year! It was so wonderful that I was thinking about sending my child to the school since his birthday is in October or November. I want my kids to play golf too, so I hope we can do it as a family someday 😄We also received sweets and toys for the dogs. The open-air bath also has a great view! Don't forget to fill up the water before entering. The cottage is spacious and beautiful, and the children were very happy. One request I have is that since there are stairs, it would be possible to attach a baby gate to prevent danger to children and dogs, and if it would be possible to attach a guard to prevent children from falling between the fences on the second floor, it would also be possible to attach a guard to prevent pets from falling between the stairs. I thought I would be able to stay there with peace of mind without any accidents with my husband or children. Thank you for the wonderful time. It was the perfect hotel for children and pets to enjoy together.

The hotel room was clean and spacious. There were many baths in the large public bath. Unfortunately, there was no place to hang used towels, so I hung them on the towel rack in the bathroom. Putter golf was also free.

Stay in a family cottageOverall, the building itself feels old, but I think it has been well-maintained so that you don't feel that way.The back of the bed was also thoroughly cleaned. The temperature of the open-air bath attached to the cottage is difficult to adjust, so it's not something you can easily bathe in, but it's spacious and the whole family could relax in it.The dinner was very good and the staff were very nice.Compared to that, I think the breakfast is a little lower in rank...It's better than business hotels, but it's a little inferior to other hotels. But the rice was very delicious. There are no shops around, so it would have been nice if there were more shops and vending machines in the building (I only saw one vending machine, but it was almost sold out). The putter golf at the facility is just a bonus for children. However, I felt that the grass was solid. For people who can't play golf, one night is enough.Anyway, there's nothing there, including the vicinity. There is a golf course right next to the cottage, so if there was more space for the kids to play around, I would like to go there every year.

The kaiseki cuisine that can be eaten at this time of year is very satisfying.Last year it was delicious, so I went again this year❗As expected, it was delicious and I'm looking forward to next year. The sweetness of the meat, just the right elasticity, and aroma leave a lasting impression in your mouth (throat) and brain, and you don't have to eat that day's dinner or the next day's breakfast. I didn't want to eat Mushiro, but I was enjoying it ❗Sometimes, I also reward myself. 😄

This was my first time visiting, but I was immediately impressed by the attentiveness of the staff and the diligent care and maintenance of the facilities, so I decided to return immediately. We had both French and Japanese food, and they were all delicious.Wine lovers can also enjoy comparing drinks. The cost performance is outstanding. The cottage is also well maintained and perfect.
