I was looking for a hotel where my mother-in-law, daughter, and I could stay together in order to go to the Taiga Drama Museum in 2024. About 10 years ago, my family of 6 stayed at the Biwako Hotel, which had many rooms with hot springs, so it was fine, but I remember that it was a long journey to the dining area and public bath.It was nice to be able to enjoy a large public bath and meals within a reasonable distance, and relax after being tired from driving. The people at the front desk were also kind and polite. thank you.Have your room key card turned into a wooden tag at the front desk, then receive a band with a barcode at the Ofuro Cafe reception desk to use to pay for your meal. If you only want to use the bath, you can freely use the building next door with just a wooden sign.I reserved the Hollywood Twin Room (No. 608). As you can see in the photos, the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The futon on the sofa bed is properly prepared, and is there a drawer? When I opened the door on the TV side, there was also a blanket. One drawback is that the parking lot for guests is small, and if you can't park, you have to park in the bath shop parking lot. Since it was a Sunday evening, there were many day trip bathers, so it took a while to find a parking spot.

It's very comfortable! There are clothes you can wear inside the facility, so you can wear it all day long! ! ! ! You can also eat rice! There are also plays held almost every day! ! There are games, there is a space to relax while watching TV, and you can eat shaved ice! ! ! ✨✨There were also two saunas, a mist sauna and a regular sauna! In summer, you can enjoy automatic rowing once every 20 minutes ✊🏻✊🏻There is also a free bus from the nearest station, so it's convenient! ! !

I stayed there. The changing area in the bathroom was spacious and had plenty of lockers and steel chairs, but the air conditioner didn't work very well. I want a fan, but there aren't many of them. And there was a customer who seemed to be a regular who occupied the electric fan.

It feels like a Showa-era building that has been renovated into a modern Reiwa-style building using wood on the first floor, and the rest space was beautiful. The sauna and bath were old, and I immediately noticed that the radon water made my skin smooth, so I felt it was effective.I thought it was expensive because it cost over 1,500 yen including tax.

It's late Golden Week, and I'm going out for the first time this year. You can use the adjacent natural radon hot spring. To check in, enter your name at the time of reservation on the touch panel and a room key will appear. To take a bath, go through a passageway to the radon hot spring next door. It's a bit troublesome because you have to leave the key at the front desk, receive a bill, and hand it in at the hot spring reception each time. The men's bath is on the second floor, and the women's bath is on the fourth floor.I was impressed by how much care was taken to prevent people from peeping and thinking, "Oh! I made a mistake."I was looking forward to the radon hot springs, which were very pleasant, and there were signs posted everywhere telling people to pour hot water on themselves before entering the bath.I thought it was kind of nice that there was a pink pail for soaking at the edge of the bathtub. When I moved to the open-air bath, the outside air was cool and felt good. There are mud packs available, and you can pack them freely.Mud packs can only be used in the open-air bath zone, so you cannot go to the indoor bath with the mud pack on.There is a rest area on the first floor where the reception is located, where you can drink water and hot coffee for free.It looks like a sunken kotatsu, and the regulars would sit in the dugout area and read magazines and other books. It's a bit of a strange sight in a stylish space, but I imagine you'll feel relaxed once you're inside. The room was clean and well appointed and didn't lack anything. If I have a chance, I would like to relax and watch it next time under the sunken kotatsu.

I used a plan that included breakfast and no bath/toilet (non-smoking).From around 11 o'clock, we used the adjacent Biwako-za restaurant and headed back to the hotel in the evening. There are loungewear (separate for men and women), but even though I am a woman, for some reason they had men's clothing available. It was too troublesome to tell the front desk, so I just went with it.When I was relaxing in my room, I suddenly smelled cigarettes.Looking at the hotel's website, it seems that there are both non-smoking and smoking rooms on the same floor, and the smell seemed to be coming in through the ventilation fan or the gap in the door. The smell went away after about 10 or 15 minutes, but after a while the cigarette smell came back. When I woke up in the morning, I could smell cigarettes, and when I went out to the hallway to go to the bathroom, the smell was so strong that I wanted to hold my breath in some places.I don't like the smell of cigarettes, so I always choose non-smoking rooms when staying at other hotels, but this was the first time I'd ever been to a hotel where the smell of cigarettes came all the way into the room.It was a shame because I really enjoyed the Biwako-za restaurant next door.If you don't like the smell of cigarettes, we do not recommend staying here.I don't think I will stay here again in the future.
