Fermented lunch was great! There are many things that can only be enjoyed in the countryside. The hatake pickles and heshiko were especially great. The owner was kind and I felt like I was visiting relatives in the countryside. Please let me come again.

I went to Tanada House to learn how to make miso 🎵 I've been here many times and it's a really relaxing place 😊💕A friendly couple welcomes us and prepares miso using handmade koji and large soybeans.``If you try hard, things will change,'' says the kind husband. My wife always supports me and says, ``I'll give you the recipe for salt koji❕.''It's a place that will give you a very meaningful time and healing😌💓In the living room, there is a photo taken when the Governor of Shiga Prefecture visited Tanada House...✴️They are involved in various activities such as protecting rice fields and making fermented foods. Also, the rice terraces in the field are spectacular ❕This is a recommended place 😊💕

The guest rooms were well-designed to reflect the retro Japanese Showa era, and the service and response were very prompt. It was well organized and I had a pleasant stay. The location is in a beautiful area where you can see rice terraces, and it's not far from Lake Biwa, so I think it's the perfect inn for a trip around Lake Biwa. The owner and his wife are both very kind and friendly people. This is a very nice inn that I would recommend to my friends (^^)

I have visited Tanada House many times, and the owner always welcomes me warmly, and the nostalgic atmosphere of the inn and the beautiful surrounding scenery are so soothing. The gardens and rooms are very well maintained, and when I visited in the summer, I was surprised at how cool it was without the need for air conditioning. It seems like they have seasonal experience plans such as making miso and working with plums, so I would definitely like to participate again.

I'm a repeater.I invited two new friends to join me for lunch.Miso soup made with rice terraced miso and freshly cooked rice harvested from rice terraces. Lunch featuring fermented dishes such as mackerel and sweetfish heshiko, mackerel nare sushi, and tempeh served in tasteful bowls.A dessert of sweet sake pudding made with homemade koji and homemade rhubarb jam. Everything else was healthy and delicious. The inside and outside of the inn are filled with nostalgic Showa era items and are tastefully decorated. Jazz music plays inside the room, and combined with the scenery of the rice terraces outside, it is a relaxing and relaxing space.I had a great time chatting with the owner, Masako. My friends were very satisfied with the homemade hospitality. I would like to visit again in the spring.Thank you, Masako.
