First time at Shiriuchihama auto campsiteWe stayed at the power site in a camping trailer. The power supply site here was not shared with other sites (neighboring), and the voltage was high and I was able to use the power supply comfortably. The toilets were clean, there were relatively many washing areas, and the facilities were well-equipped and comfortable. I stayed there for a three-day weekend in the fall, and the weather was nice and the sunrise was spectacular. However, in the pine forest from spring to early summer, there may be a storm of pine resin!

It is located on a beach that boasts one of the clearest waters of Lake Biwa's many swimming beaches. There are reservation-only sites and free sites, so if you want to make sure you stay, you need to make a reservation. There is a dog swimming area where you can spend time with your dog, so there are quite a lot of customers who are dog lovers. In the summer, there are paid experiences of SUP and canoeing. There are plenty of facilities such as toilets and paid showers, and the manager also patrols to watch out for people setting up tents in strange places, so I feel it's safe. It's a busy place as there are many people with children, but I go there every year because it's a great place to relax and enjoy the view of the quiet lakeside. However, there are almost no places to eat, so you won't be able to eat anything unless you prepare well. There is no vending machine unless you go to the entrance of the next beach.

I've been coming here for over ten years, regardless of the season. This summer was the worstPlay music at high volume. There were several warnings broadcast, butNo effect at allIs it a lawless area from the evening when the manager is gone?Music and loud voices even if the date changesCross someone's siteFood scraps are scattered around the waterhole. In the past, manners were better respected.Prices are relatively high here.I would like to request an improvement in the shower.Even though it has deteriorated over time, it is too dirty.I'm thinking of taking my last summer holidays this year.Unless it's a weekday or peak seasonReally quiet and nice placeYou can spend your time listening to the sound of the waves.

This is my 5th time using it after 10 years.Just like back then, it was well maintained and I was able to spend my time in a clean environment.Previously, I had made a reservation for the pine forest in Minamihama, but since it was a weekday this time, I was guided to the popular Kitahama area without a reservation. The site fee was 5,500 yen per night for 2 people, 1 pet, and my car, as there was a discount for Montbell members. It was empty, so there was no early charge even if you arrived in the morning, and check-out was at 12:00, which was reasonable. The site is large enough to hold a medium-sized hexagon tarp. The location from the beach is also nice. You can also swim at the beach. The dog area is also separated, so you don't have to worry about it.There are similar swimming areas on the north and south beaches, but the water quality was better on the south side. There is also a dog run, but this one is spacious. It's so big that you could call it a baseball field. There is a small shop in the south reception building, which was a great help for ice cream in the extremely hot weather.Simple showers, dog showers, laundry, and toilets are clean and equipped with showers. The area is large and varied, and there is a lot of fun in selecting your favorite site, so I think this campsite will satisfy both beginners and veteran solo campers.

Even if you would like to take a bath in the lake, the area several meters from land is cordoned off with a rope, so there is almost no place to swim. It is fine for bathing, but marine sports such as snorkeling are not possible. It is said to be for safety reasons, but even if you wear a life jacket, you will be warned by blaring a siren, and the saps from nearby facilities are entering the area at the end of the rope, making it completely incomprehensible. Perhaps the private beach of the property next door? (There shouldn't be any right to possess the land on the lake, right?) I think the area is designated as a no-swimming area. The campsite was also left with dead birds and everything else. I think Takagihama is better in all respects.

Each section is separated by ropes to make it clear. It was before the full-fledged summer camp season, so it wasn't crowded. This time it was for day use, soNext time I would like to use it for a tent night.

I know this is going to be a long post, but...The area I am going to write about (Shiraihama) is Minamihama Campground.I have been visiting this campground for nearly 30 years, ever since my parents took me there when I was a child.I have been to Awaji Island, other campgrounds in Kosai, and a certain lakeside green area in Koto, but I always end up coming back to Shiriuchi Beach. What's good about Shiriuchi Beach in my own way?- Unique to Oku-Biwa Lake, the water quality is good.・Good manners of other campers・The lawn of the free site is beautiful・No trash or other dangerous items have fallen.・The kitchen is clean and has a bucket for throwing away leftovers and a place to throw out charcoal.・There have been multiple managers over the years, but there is no one who is disappointed, they are good people.・Red kites are hunting right there, and their cries create a nice atmosphere.・Depending on the season, small sweetfish can be found swimming upstream in the Shinai River (no entry to the Shiriuchi River during the Yana fishing season).・There is a fishing port nearby and you can enjoy fishing (please do not disturb the fishermen).・There are many cats waiting for fish at the fishing port. lolThere are more, etc...If I had to say something bad, there would be two things.・Price...I think it's quite expensive among campgrounds. However, I am satisfied with the idea that it is more expensive and there are fewer campers with bad manners.・Toilet...The toilet does not have an entrance door, so there are often insects. There was a frog stuck to the wall in the bathroom...However, it has been cleaned with water, so it is somewhat clean. It's not easy in terms of equipment, but I always think it would be better if they could improve things like adding a door and making the upper ventilation mesh finer. As a note for first-time users,・This is a family-friendly campground as far as I can see. It's fine if it's a gathering of solo campers, but if you really get to go solo, you might feel a little uneasy.・As mentioned above, please avoid entering the Shiriuchi River and the estuary area during the fishing season. Please see the website for details.・When leaving the tent at night or when going to bed, if your tent has a vestibule, we recommend putting food inside the tent as much as possible. The cat will be patrolling the campsite regularly and will be fishing at the same time. lolIt seems like rental items are becoming more available these days.Reservations are required for divided sites, and reservations are not possible for free sites. (The free site has also been rezoned)It's been a long time, but in the end...Surprisingly, there seem to be many people who don't know this...Beach sites and forest sites are certainly good.I personally recommend the free site because it is open and allows you to cut out sound and visibility from the forest site and the beach site to the bank! (I don't really want to tell you that much.LOL)
