I came 2 nights to get away of the busy life in Kyoto and I can truly say, this was by far the best place i’ve stayed at in a long long time.Both the lady and the gentleman were incredible. The night i arrived i had a hot bath already prepared!! The first morning, she took me to Makino Station to rent a bike so i could sightsee the surroundings.I felt like i was at home with my grandparents, so attentive all the time, i will for sure come back.

We were welcomed by a wonderful family, and all of our international guests and local friends agreed that it was the best trip ever. I slept well with a sense of security that felt like I had come back to my nostalgic home 🙂

If you want to have a relaxing time and you want to relax a little, this is one of the best places.The house you get is fully equipped and looks really authentically Japanese. Plus, the futons were really comfortable! The surroundings are also beautiful and invite you to relax.If you are traveling by train, make sure you have enough shopping for your stay, the nearest konbini is quite far away.The reason for my review is the hosts. I was welcomed so warmly that I almost felt at home. The owner took the time to explain to me everything and where everything was. It's really rare to find that and I think this hospitality is really unique!Again, a big thank you :) If I travel in the area again, I'll come here again!

This time we took our children for our honeymoon, which was postponed due to the previous epidemic. It happened to be the cherry blossom season and we came to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lake Biwa.I am very lucky to be able to travel and come to the cozy B&B run by Mr. and Mrs. Fujiwara. That night, I checked in late because of my schedule and the weather, but Mrs. Fujiwara came out to greet us warmly despite the rain. We were very grateful but apologetic.As soon as we entered the door, Mrs. Fujiwara introduced their homestay to us in detail and kindly. It is a home full of Japanese style and comfortable. We had a great time staying there. We also cooked their own white rice, which was very delicious. .Although this time was short, I still felt the beautiful scenery and wonderful people here. Fortunately, they were there. My children and I were treated very well. When I injured my knee, they anxiously brought ice cubes to help me. The cloth was given to me and my symptoms improved a lot. When my child cried, they gave him toys to play with!If you come to Lake Biwa and they have vacancies, please don’t hesitate and make a reservation with confidence. You will have a wonderful local memory that is different from staying in a hotel! !

We had planned to camp at a nearby campsite, but had to give up due to heavy rain and wind.I hurriedly searched for it on the internet, and when I called, they welcomed me cheerfully.I couldn't go camping, which I had been looking forward to, and I tried setting up a tent in the rain again.My body and soul were getting coldThe son, mother, and father who welcomed us were very warm.It was a great memory.Although it was a sudden request,thank you very much!I hope to see you again.

Fujiwara is superhost with very good hospitality. The house is very comfortable and super clean. It has verything you need. It is not in the city (it is what we chose) so at night it is very quiet. If we come back to this city, we will definitely stay here again.

We organised an overnight stay via Agoda as part of our plan to visit Mt Hakodateyama Ski Resort.The owner was extremely hospitable, and provided us all that we needed during our stay.The accommodation is clean and tidy. The facilities are many.When we arrived at the accommodation, we were given a thorough tour - showing us all the available features and amenities.I have travelled to Japan multiple times and this was one of the most enjoyable experiences staying in Japan.A great family, fantastic hospitality and a warm welcome. We couldn't ask for anything more.Highly recommended to stay here if you have a chance.

Amazing ! Coming to Fujiwara-san was making a dream come true. The rental house is magnificent, typically Japanese, with a great view of the surrounding countryside. Typically Japanese cuisine, bathroom the same: a gem, a marvel 😊 Fujiwara-san and his parents are adorable. Her parents' main house is also beautiful. If we could have spent more time in the area we would have. It was the best part of our trip. We hope to return one day.I strongly recommend visiting Takashima on the banks of Lake Biwa for its magnificent Tori perched on the lake as well as the magnificent matesequoia avenue. The station near Fujiwara-san's is about an hour from Kyoto :)Breathtaking. Coming to Fujiwara-san house was a dream coming true. Takashima is not far from Kyoto (1 hour by train) and the Tori on the lake is very beautiful. You can rent bike to appreciate the beauty of the area. The houses are so beautiful. They are old Japanese houses that are taken care of splendidly Fujiwara-san and his family are so nice and welcoming. We would come back anytime. It was the best part of our trip to Japan.
