I wish the restrooms at the campsite were a little cleaner.

We used the campsite deck site for bringing tents. Since the tent is pitched on a wooden base, it is hygienic, but you cannot drive pegs into it. There is a well maintained coin shower/toilet.Even though it was midsummer, the shade of the trees blocked the direct sunlight and the beach breeze from the lake made it very comfortable. The cool breeze blowing through the night was a world away from the tropical nights in the city, and we headed down to Lake Biwa to cool down in the evening. We also enjoyed canoeing and an early morning walk.I cooked everything myself, but you could also use the BBQ. It was helpful that there was a free shuttle bus (reservation required) from the station. The croquettes I bought at the Omi beef direct sales store were delicious. The staff was very kind and that aspect was wonderful.

I stayed at the camp for one night on August 14th, 2024.Since it was my first time camping, I applied and used the "empty-handed camping" option.On that day, the person at the front desk told me to be quiet after 9pm, but a group of Chinese people were playing loud music (Chinese songs) until 2am, so I had to sleep. I couldn't. The Chinese people were making a lot of noise at the end of site 40, and although we were relatively far away, there were still May flies, so I think it was even worse for the customers who were closer to the site.I also called the front desk, but the automated voice didn't connect, and I called the number that said, "In case of an emergency, please call..." but no one answered.At the very least, I would have liked to see regular patrols around 9:00 pm, 10:00 pm, and 11:00 pm.It was my first time camping, and I wondered if it was like this. I'm very tired.I don't think I will use it anymore.Hotels and inns are still good.

It feels like a campsite has been set up on the mountain side of a large vacation village.high.It is located in a remote area, and even though it is a paved road, there are ups and downs, so if you are a sports type car or have a car less than 10 cm in height, you may run out of water, so in that case, it is better to park in the Kyukamura parking lot. When I visited, there was no one there, so it felt like the entire campsite had been rented out. I had to check in at the west building, but I felt a little lost. Overall, the facilities were a little old but neatly maintained, and the shower facilities had hot water that came out late… I was dissatisfied.The site is high off the ground, so it looks quite dangerous, so be careful... If I fall wrong, I think I'll really die; Also, the deck is too thick to use a deck pack. I have to use a screw pack... It's thicker than you imagine; The people managing the campsite were very friendly. If I get a chance, I want to visit again~ Ah… Lake Biwa is slightly visible from the camping site.

I used the camp empty-handed. First, check in at the West Building and pay the fee. Drive to Central Lodge, unload your luggage, and park at the 3rd parking lot. We will receive the ingredients and equipment and transport the luggage to the site using a cart. It's a slope so it might be a little tough for women.Kyukamura is good because there is no UP fee even on Saturdays and Sundays. It's convenient because it comes with everything you need, including ingredients, tools, and blankets. You can use the hot springs in the west building for 510 yen.However, there was a triathlon tournament being held that day, and the speakers were giving commentary and commentary from the morning, which was annoying.

At the free site, you have to use a cart to carry your tent and other luggage up the slope to the top, but it costs 2,200 yen for a solo trip. You can see Lake Biwa in the distance, and it's quiet. I'm going well. Please note that regular length deck pegs with springs cannot be used due to the thickness of the deck. I think it would be a good idea to use a free-standing tent and hang ropes on the U-shaped corners of the deck.

Prices are cheap. Detergent, sponges, and scrubbers are provided. Kind! However, it is not suitable for bringing your own tent because the ground is slanted and only designated areas can be used, so if you set up a tent, you cannot set up a tarp. Delicious!

On Sunday, the third day of Golden Week, I made a reservation from Jalan.It was OK even if it rained, but I was seated at a desk next to a tent a little further up the mountain from the reception desk.There's a rain guard on top, but you'll get wet from the light rain...The place you'll be sitting on is an old tree with debris and dead leaves, and it's damp, so if you were to sit on it...it might get pretty dirty and you won't be able to fix it. (｀ε´ )The paper plates and baskets that were placed there were also very dirty, so what kind of mountain BBQ is this?I didn't know (￣▽￣;)The standard price is just under 8,000 yen including tax for 2 people...Is the iron plate a bit dirty?The yakisoba was the most delicious because you had to light the fire yourself and the ingredients were at a price.I think it's a little less.Did you make a reservation from Jalan?Anyway, I'm surprised at how dirty it is...I won't go there again, and I can't recommend it (*_*)

Nice and quiet campground, with wooden platforms used as the actual campsite-bases. Thus pegs become useless best to bring open eyed-screws or anchors to fit between the platform boards. Only drawback is that one must load all camping supplies onto a cart and haul everything uphill to your campsite. All vehicles are parked in a designated parking lot.

The location, staff, and facilities are all the worst.I knew that the public baths could not be used due to the coronavirus, and when I went there after campers resumed using the public baths, I was only told that I could not use the public baths, and there was no explanation as to why I could not use them. In the shower room that was offered as an alternative, only water came out for most of the three minutes, so we had to cut it short.Also, most of the roads at the site were not paved, and there was no maintenance such as weeding, so I couldn't see the road shown on the map. For this reason, it is difficult to go to the site itself, and if the site is far from the office, even going to the toilet at night is dangerous.Also, the morale of the customers is at its lowest, making noise even after 1am. Even after being warned a total of 4 times by us and other guests, nothing has changed.I had plans for the next day, but due to the reasons mentioned above, staying here made me even more tired, so I canceled my plans for the next day and went straight home.

I used it for solo camping by bicycle.Good points・As it is along the lakeshore road and Sazanami Kaido, the route is easy to follow and there are few ups and downs, making it easy to access by bicycle.・The location is surrounded by Lake Biwa, so the view from the campsite was great.・The attached hotel has plenty of facilities such as a shop and bath (not available during the state of emergency), and alcohol, ice cream, sweets, firewood, etc. are sold at the campsite. It was very convenient.・In addition to the Kyukamura facilities, there are also cafes, hot spring facilities, farmers' markets, and convenience stores not far away.・There is a dump site for empty cans, plastic bottles, and combustible garbage on site. There is also an ash dumping area in the kitchen, and although you cannot have an open fire on the site due to the wooden deck, you can enjoy BBQ using a bonfire stand or stove.Points that caught my attention・It is easy to access the campground reception on a paved road, but the path from the reception to the site is quite steep, especially if you are located in the back of the campsite, you will have to climb up a slope that is almost like a beast trail. Don't do it. There is a rental car service for loading and unloading luggage from your car, but ultimately you will need to carry your luggage on your own.Please be careful where you step, especially at night when going to the toilet, etc.・The tent is set up on top of a wooden deck, but since the deck is quite thick, I couldn't use regular pegs for wooden decks because they weren't the right size. I managed to get by with the tools I had on hand (rope and carabiner), but next time I will prepare longer deck pegs.However, thanks to the wooden deck, even if it rained at night, we were able to spend the night safely without the ground flooding.Overall, the location of the site and the structure of the wooden deck are unique, and transporting luggage and setting up requires some effort, but while it is inconvenient, you can definitely feel the benefits in terms of good views and peace of mind on rainy days. .As it is a tourist destination, there are plenty of surrounding facilities, and there are plenty of equipment rentals, so it is also recommended for beginners.

I used the free Rinkan site.The customer base was mostly children, and the manners were very good except for one group. (Children running around in the parking lot, one parent and five children being unable to pass on the slope where a rear car is passing, no matter how many times a rear car passes by, it doesn't work out, and open fires being lit even though open fires are prohibited. etc.)The free site is at the top, so it was difficult to carry my luggage in my rear car. The slope is steep.Rear cars are also quite competitive.You have to put it back after use, so the closer the number is to number 40, the harder it is.(I don't know where it will be until the day of the event)It is called a free site, but compared to the one with a tent, there is no tent standing up, and there are no chairs and tables to eat at.It was number 39, but I could barely set it up with Amed M, and I definitely wouldn't be able to set up a larger family-sized tent. The surrounding area was all steps and slopes, so it was very difficult to find a place to put a bonfire or a desk. (I was jealous because the other number had a plot next to it so I was able to set up a desk etc.)Campers are recommended elsewhere.I recommend it to people who don't have a tent or anything but want to go camping!

It was my first time visiting. In these times, it is safe to have a barbecue outside. Although the wind was stronger than expected, the fire did not go out and was successfully completed. The plan we selected is "Campsite Day Trip Dinner/Empty BBQ/Premium Course" (starting at 4pm). It's best to check what's included in the course in advance (you'll have to bring everything that's not included). By the way, you can bring your own drinks. Or rather, you'll have to bring your own rice (although they seem to sell some), and if you want rice (onigiri, etc.), we also have rice. Furthermore, we didn't have any sauce, so we bought some (30 yen each. Adults had enough, but the kids used two.) It's easy and recommended for barbecue lovers!This is a postscript from when I visited again at the end of August.Yakiniku sauce was included this time.

I made a reservation with the empty-handed camping plan.All the tools were given to us in the meeting room next to the lodge, and we rented a cart to take it to the tent. The footing was poor for several meters from the concrete road to the tent, so I had to be careful when carrying it.The amount of BBQ set (standard) for dinner was sufficient. If you wanted food, you could bring it with you or it was sold at the lodge. Please note that you must pick up the ingredients by 5pm.The kitchen was bright and equipped with sponges, scrubbers, and detergent, making it easy to wash dishes.I couldn't rent the bathroom in the west building, so I used the coin shower.You can borrow two lanterns, but it would be helpful to have a separate light to illuminate your steps.Blankets were lent to us for the number of people.I brought a cushion to use as a pillow.You can sleep without a sleeping bag.The breakfast hot sandwich set consisted of bread, ingredients (potato salad and cheese), banana and corn soup. It was nice to have coffee too. You can pick up your food starting at 7am.I was able to relax until check out at 11am.
