It was the first time in five years that I stayed with my daughter, and I was really surprised to see that they had beautifully displayed my daughter's doodles and photos from back then, and that she had clearly remembered the conversations we had at the time. At the same time, it warmed my heart. .We have managed to overcome the coronavirus pandemic, so please continue to do so for a long time!I'm rooting for you.

This is the perfect place to stay to enjoy Mt. Jinba and the area around Sagamiko Station.The place is clean and nestled in a beautiful spot by the river. It's close to an entry to Jinba, too, though a 35min walk from Sagamiko station. The rooms, washrooms, and kitchen were well-kept.Kai was an incredible host and helped with a lot of little things, like getting around. He even let me train with him in the morning. He's jacked!I hope to come back.

My time spent at Vanguard backpackers was fantastic. When I think of my time spent in Japan, Sagamiko is always at the top of the list. The hostel is fantastic in terms of facilities, but what makes Vanguard Backpackers so great is the welcoming community vibe. No matter what time of year you visit, you will always meet interesting people with stories to tell, and Kai San is a fantastic host. I have stayed here multiple times, both as a volunteer and a guest. I cannot recommend enough!

I had such an amazing experience staying at this hostel! The host was incredibly welcoming and made me feel so comfortable from the moment I arrived. It’s a perfect spot for backpackers, with stunning natural views all around. There’s even a beautiful waterfall right outside where you can relax, take in the scenery, or go for a refreshing swim. It’s the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and friendly stay in Japanese nature!

There is a route that can get you down here from Mt. Takao! !I rented a Japanese-style room for one day.Kai is a very kind and hospitable person and I felt very at ease. I also had a morning boxing lesson surrounded by nature, which was a great exercise.When we stayed, there weren't that many other guests, so we were free to use the kitchen etc.There is a highway nearby, so if you are sensitive to noise, earplugs are a must!Also, when I climbed Mt. Takao, I thought I would visit you. Thank you Kai! !

Vanguard backpackers is simply a beautiful place to be. It is one of the places I am looking forward to visit every time I go to Japan.Thank you for everything
