So maybe my weight was not adapted to the thickness of the mattress but for the rest... my god! So calm, kind, cute dog with Rum and the service is really cool! He cooks really well! You can walk 200 m to go back down to Lawson or to Seven Eleven but clearly you have to try what they offer to eat because in terms of price, taste and quantity it's incredible!!

We had the best time here! The place was nice, the owner was very friendly. He gave us great food recommendations, and shared some local delicacies. The mascot (Rum!) was well behaved and proved to be the most delightful company.

Although the house is old, it is very clean and comfortable. There are shared hot springs and restrooms. It is worth mentioning that the male receptionist is very friendly and attentive. Not only does he speak English well, he is also very handsome.

Natural hot springs are such a blessing at a guesthouse! There is a window in the guest room, but it doesn't open, so it's pitch black unless you turn on the light...

We chose Toi because the incredible hospitality was praised in the reviews. After our first few days in Tokyo, we wanted to mingle a little more with the people here. Not only were we warmly welcomed by the hotel dog, but our hosts were also super friendly. Towards the evening, we had dinner on site and then enjoyed the evening here. We chatted with the various guests, the owners and staff and simply had a great time. About the rooms: We had a private room in the house next door. The walls are quite thin and you can hear the neighbors but we were aware of that from the beginning and had no problem with it. There are showers and a small onsen in the main building. That wasn't a problem either. The futons were okay and it was perfect in its simplicity. Check in and check out were easy and overall it was really a wonderful experience. Gladly again!!!

The location was about a km away from Kowakidani Sta. Not really far but the recommended path by Google Maps (at least to me) was along the mountain highway. It was rainy and i was walking alone at night. …
