Springs Village Hakone Resort ~Apartments~

As soon as I entered the room, there was a strong smell similar to pesticides. The toilet door on the first floor could not be locked. The outdoor BBQ oven was solid and could not be lit and could not be used. To make matters worse, through I sent an email asking for help, but got no reply at all. Very irresponsible and a terrible experience!

I visited in late March when the temperature was around 6℃ to 10℃. I am staying in apartment type A with my dog. Check-in and check-out can be completed with just a smartphone. Managerial people are neither good nor bad.When I entered the room, the room smelled. Room fragrance like the one sold at Donki, dog smell (although this can't be helped in some places), and a moldy smell...Even though I ventilated the room, it didn't work, I couldn't stand it, so I decided to buy something at a nearby drug store. That's what I think.The atmosphere is nice, but the sofa and cushions feel damp. When you touch the wall, it's wet from the humidity.The hot spring water from the bath is flowing slowly, and the door is open, adding to the humidity. I ran the air conditioner hard to dry the room, and the next morning the walls were finally dry.There are provided plates, a shallow frying pan of about 24 cm, and a deep frying pan, but they are not cleaned properly and are dirty, as mentioned in other reviews. In addition, there was a DeLonghi coffee maker and a Tefal pot, but the inside of the pot was covered with limescale. There are two cutting boards, but they don't disappoint as they are melting and yellowing from the heat. There are no chopsticks, forks, or spoons, so you will need to bring your own. There are minimal seasonings such as salt, pepper, salad oil, and shichimi, but they are all shared by guests. Lucky if you have a new one! As for pet supplies, there are larger sheets, but they are small mats of about 40 cm, so they are good for small dogs, but may be small for medium and large dogs. It was a little small for my 9kg dog. We also have wet tissues and paper paper black plastic bags. The bath seems like a moody place. Our time was lukewarm. According to other people's reviews, it's too hot to enter. There were times when the shower was only lukewarm and other times it was hot. You will need to make adjustments to make sure you get along well. The hot water in the bathtub was too lukewarm, so I warmed up the water in the bathtub while taking a shower. Our family stayed overnight without meals, but some people were having BBQ outside on the balcony. It looked cold due to the mountain weather and temperature at this time of year. You might be able to make it in a light rain, but more rain and wind could make it difficult.At night, you can hear the thumping sounds of the children staying on the second floor. I couldn't hear other voices, but when it rained, the rain dripped onto the PVC roof of the balcony, which bothered me.Although it's Hakone, it didn't feel like Hakone. The photos look stylish and nice. It looks great, but it doesn't make your stay more comfortable.

4 years ago must have been at its best. This location is pretty worn down. One star for having the basic necessities. Other than that it is pretty rough. Dusty, cobwebs, old decorations from previous occupants, trash in the back like used bbq canisters. The shower room’s ventilation was pretty bad. I’ve never been in such a bad wash room. The tub looked bad. Like the wood wasn’t treated and just put in place. Soap dispensers were water filled to extend their life. Some AC/ Heat remotes were missing or not available. Picture will show an unkept sink area. The pictures available here on Google Maps are way out of date too. I’ve taken pictures and made a collage to show what it was and what it is now as of March 2024. If you are just sleeping here, it’s great. Otherwise, if you’d like a good soak or nicer amenities you’d be better off at a different property.

I went to play with 5 people and 1 dog. All 4 rooms were occupied, but there was no sound from other rooms. Will it get cold? I didn't even use the room shoes I had brought with me, and the bath was nice and comfortable. Since there was no wind, we were able to have a BBQ outside and it was delicious. I think this quality is a great value for this location, for bringing your dog, and for this price. The people staying in the other rooms were also very pleasant and left me with good thoughts. I would like to use it again. (It would be helpful to have a spoon)

7 people stayed here with friends and family. The scenery is good and it feels like the mountains are right behind you. Depending on the room, when having a BBQ, you will have to do it between the mountain and the back wall of the house, so you won't be able to see anything, and since there is no roof, it will be catastrophically impossible if it rains. The room wasn't very well cleaned and the floor was pitch black with socks, so slippers are a must. When I wiped the desk with the wet tissue I had brought, it turned black. The tableware and cooking utensils provided seemed to have been washed by the previous guest, so they needed to be washed again before they could be used, but the detergent was empty so I ended up going to buy some. I didn't have anything to wipe the dishes with, so I crushed up a face towel and used it to wipe the dishes. Shampoo and other supplies were provided in the bath, but the bottle was only about a third full, so it was barely enough for 7 people. (I would like them to be replenished) There were two large pots, but there was burnt material stuck to them so I ended up not using them. The toaster, microwave, and electric kettle worked normally. It's better to bring more chopsticks. The refrigerator is small, but it's so frosty that it can only fit about two-thirds of what it actually can fit in, so be careful if you buy a lot of perishables because you won't be able to fit it all.The bath was large and the hot spring water was always coming out little by little, which was nice, but the shower only had cold water, so I added water to the hot spring water in the gushing tub to get it to the right temperature, scooped it up in a tub, and washed my hair. It was ready to be washed.The water was quite hot, so it was too hot for my child to bathe in it.There were quite a few insects in the room, but there was no insecticide. The bug spray I had kept there was empty and was sitting on top of a shoe rack by the entrance. (It is unclear whether this was left behind by the guest.)If you are staying at this facility and wish to prepare a meal, you will need to bring your own large plates.
