I stayed there for one night and two days, and it felt like it had a lot of history, and the inside felt like a museum. After all, famous historical figures such as Hirobumi Ito and Kazunomiya sometimes visit. After all, I was able to relax in the open-air bath in front of the river. The meal was voluminous and large in quantity, but it was delicious ♪ I would like to go again on another occasion ^_^

We are visiting inns across the country that are registered tangible cultural properties.Looking at the reviews, the overall rating is high, but there are some comments with low ratings. When I looked at it, there were definitely some things that made sense.[Residence] Visiting the old daysThe paintings on the sliding doors in the large hall are worth seeing.I was impressed by how well-prepared the historical pamphlets and guide maps inside the museum were.It was fun to think about the past while listening to the chirping of Higurashi. There were many empty rooms in the building, but due to a shortage of waitresses and employees, they were unable to fill all the rooms in the building like they used to.[Hot water] Lost in thoughtThe water is colorless and transparent, with no turbidity or odor, and the quality of the spring water is very good. However, the pH value was 8.9, so I didn't really feel that it was highly alkaline. The open-air bath is not very large, but it was quiet enough to be lost in thought while listening to the murmuring of the river. The path to the open-air bath can be dangerous, so it is better to follow the path along the river. The indoor bath was very convenient as there was a small bathtub in the room.[Food] Enjoy seafoodFor dinner, the sea urchin and caviar served ahead of time were very delicious. The tuna tuna in the sashimi platter was really tasty. The bite-sized steak on the plate is not available in ultra-miniature size.Soga Bairin's plum wine needed some ingenuity, whether it was mixed with water or carbonated water. The morning asage for breakfast was chewy, rich, and delicious.Regarding payment at check-out, for some reason I was unable to pay the full amount by credit card, so I had to pay a portion in cash. When I asked why, I couldn't get a proper answer. This incomprehensible payment system should be reformed. In terms of overall evaluation, I felt that the cost performance was a little inferior.Do you think 30,000 yen is appropriate? 50,000 yen is too high.Since there are many foreign tourists, wouldn't it be necessary to have a double pricing system with domestic tourists?

The historic building, which is designated as a tangible cultural property, and the hot springs, which are soft and hard to cool down, were very nice.As mentioned in other people's reviews, I gave it a 1 star rating for the staff's service and other points. If you only want to enjoy the historic buildings and hot springs, it's a 3 star.【cooking】It wasn't very tasty compared to other hotels in the same price range. There was a huge difference between the delicious food and the disappointing food, and I was surprised to find that the tempura was the same type of tempura you get at city hotel buffets.【room】I stayed in a Moegi room near the entrance, but there were tick bite marks on my arms and thighs, probably because there were ticks on the tatami mats and futon, and I felt itchy the next morning.I was also disappointed with the amenities in the room, which looked like a business hotel.[Inside the building + hot spring]There are many stairs throughout, and the path to the open-air bath is steep and covered with moss, making it very dangerous after rain. Not recommended for people with foot problems.【employee】There is a huge difference in the customer service level of the employees.I was surprised that when I spoke to the old man at the front desk at night, he spoke to me in a boring manner, as if he was keeping his eyes on his computer.【theft】When I was absent from my room and asked an employee to lay out a futon for me, the employee left the room's spare key in the keyhole and left the room, leaving my room unlocked and my cash stolen. .Although it was my fault for leaving valuables in the room, I felt that the inn was also at fault for allowing an employee to unlock the room and let anyone in. I waited for an apology from the person in charge. There was no apology from the person in charge, and the police were called unilaterally, wasting my time there.Apparently the president was also present during the police interview, but he did not show his face at all.Although it is a historic inn, I would not stay there again because I was treated with a very lack of hospitality and felt uncomfortable.

If you are traveling alone, you can relax in a room with a private hot spring bath. The view of the river from the inn's open-air bath is also wonderful.

I'm staying here today, so I'll write it down so I don't forget. The person who showed me around the room was a newcomer and was accompanied by an educator, but he was scolded many times and I couldn't stay anymore.I want this stage of education to be done behind the scenes. Why should I, the customer, have to be concerned? When I went to the open-air bath, it was locked, and I tried to call the front desk using the phone next to the entrance, but it was broken and there was no communication, and a customer who had not received proper instructions on how to use the bath had locked the door without permission. When I got out of the bath and went out to the hallway, I found that my slippers were gone. When I told the staff, they ended up sending me barefoot to the front door to get my slippers.I had requested dinner for 6:30 pm when I made my reservation, but I was forced to change it to 6:30 pm.Meals were rushed and even the dishes I told them would be brought back ``later'' were brought right away, and everything was done according to the circumstances of the inn, right down to laying out the futon. The dessert on the menu says "melon and cherries," but it's actually kiwi and watermelon. It's a nice and quaint inn, but it's all ruined by "humans".Worst accommodation ever.

I stayed there a while ago. A ryokan with a rich history where you can fully enjoy the Japanese atmosphere and hot springs. I think just maintaining the building is difficult. This is one of the inns that I would like to stay at forever.

It's been a while since I last visited, but the temperature of the hot water was just right, and I was impressed, thinking that this is what it means to have a hot spring guard. I was impressed by the beauty of the building (it's very old, but beautiful) and the courteousness of the service.

It was a wonderful bath and meal. The open-air bath is right next to the Hayakawa River, and you can bathe while looking out at the river. Furthermore, the historic building feels like a museum. This hotel is very historical and has many aesthetic features. They have a map of the surrounding areas and the monuments inside the hotel. This hotel has been around for centuries. Their garden view room called hayakawa is super beautiful. The staffs are kind.❗️Must go, but be reminded to treat everything with respect and not damage anything. ❗️
