Even in Hakone, Ohiradai Onsen exudes the history of the Showa era with its retro atmosphere and appearance. For the past 30 years, I have been getting off at Ohiradai Station and heading to Yachiyo Ryokan once a year. One of the charms of Ohiradai Onsen is its tranquil hot springs. The sound of the flowing hot water is soothing.

I suddenly remembered. I stayed there a few years ago. The scenery I could see from the window where I stayed was all about the roof next door! You can hear conversations from the next room! Speaking of entertainment, there is a small pachinko parlor nearby! Because of the location, the smell of exhaust gas is terrible because it is on the road. It says it's a hot spring, but it's just a public bath! I smelled a good fish dish and was looking forward to the next morning's meal, but instead it was rice, miso soup, natto, and pickled vegetables. What a poor meal. I stayed there through the Hakone Travel Association, but ended up wasting 15,000 yen. The sushi restaurant next door was reasonably priced.

I usually pass by it, but when I took a walk around it, I found that it was not only a hot spring, but also a yuba shop, a tofu shop, and an old shrine, making it an attractive place. Both stores are for sale only. The day trip hot spring is also a small, traditional hot spring with only one bathtub, but I think the quality of the hot springs is very good. It took about 2 hours to walk around, but I was able to find some nice shops and hot springs, and had a great time.

There is a hidden hot spring! Depending on the time of day, it may be reserved for private use. The quality of the spring water is also good and the best
