Very private and a little isolated. We were on the 6th floor with an amazing view. The room was large and had a private onsen. The bed and buckwheat pillow are very firm. The food was amazing and the staff was so friendly. Perfect place to hide away and relax.

Such a unique experience. The staff were really amazing from before we arrived to when we left. We were picked up and dropped off at the train station. Service in the room was so friendly and kind. They spoke very good English with us the entire time. The best part was the view from the balcony of the room that was really a once in a lifetime experience. All of the food was so delicious and elegantly presented. The hotel is slightly older but that gave it a charm all its own. Make sure you are prepared for a ryokan experience and all that entails.

This is a must for anyone looking for a Japanese experience outside the big cities. The rooms are large with a private onsen bath on the balcony. The food and the service have been first rate. I would definitely recommend this ryokan.

We spent 2 night at this place and our experience are amazing. The room is huge and comes with your own private bath with forest view. The dinner and breakfast are included with the stay which are delicious and well balanced, and they will deliver to your room . They also offer transportation services from near train station/ bus stops . Just like some other people, this is is old but we still love it . We hope to come back here again in future!

This ryokan was slightly off the beaten path, but was a wonderful break. It's in the mountains so the view from our balcony was all trees, and we had a lovely private onsen. The facilities could use an update - you can tell they used to be top notch, but with the dampness it needs a refresh. The food was incredible - I can't say enough about how wonderful our meals were. It's a tiny place so there were only 8 tables seated, which made for a really beautiful private evening. Staff was friendly and helpful, fantastic Bordeaux wine list, and a mini cigar bar were nice touches. The public onsen is part of the hotel next door, but wash also really lovely.

A high-class inn with all eight rooms having open-air baths. However, the appearance and facilities are quite old and the price is a little cheaper than the surrounding area. I had previously stayed at the Shiki no Yu Zashiki Musashino Annex, which is right next door, and I really liked the private open-air bath that was used in the Romance Car poster, as well as the atmosphere of the building and interior. I had the impression that the quality of the spring water was quite different from what I was looking for, which is ``flowing directly from the source, no circulation, no disinfection.'' This time, I decided to stay at Toki Shizuku because I was told that the open-air bath attached to the room was ``flowing directly from the source, no circulation, and no disinfection.'' Japanese modern style, stylish style? Each room is named after a famous French wine region and has a small wine cellar. The welcome drink is sparkling wine. However, although the room is stylish and cool, there is no place to put things. In other words, there's really no place to put anything other than a small side table. If you put a glass on it, you can't even put your smartphone on it. A stylish room can be surprisingly stressful.

Rooms are huge! Tatami style and love the private onsen. Service is beyond excellent. Location is far from town. If you don't drive, you should stock up on snacks before you check in. They offer shuttle service to pick up and drop off at nearest train station. Highly recommend for couples.

Definetly the best place I’ve been in Japan. This ryokan is a dream, it’s perfection. We stayed in a massive room with private onsen during a rainy and foggy day. It was just the perfect weather for an onsen session.Special mention to Remi, who was our assistant and helped us a lot. Before my arrival I lost my bag at the shinkansen and Remi managed to find it for me calling to the train station, I couldn’t be more thankful to her. Besides that, she was friendly, spoke good English, and is extremely well organised. She also made us a list of trains to catch for us at the next day, so we would arrive on time to our next destination. Without her we would have been lost. She made our experience just perfect.

The service here is excellent from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. We loved the onsen on the balcony and the really excellent multi course in-room meals (breakfast and dinner). There is a shuttle bus that will pick you up and take you to the train/bus stations etc. The Hakone Open Air Museum is closely. The owner makes his own soba daily and it is very good. The rooms need some renovation, but are large and comfortable. Recommended.
