It's cheap, but I get the impression that there's a reason for the price. It cost about 10,000 yen including parking fee for one night.First of all, the room is very small. I chose a double room because there were only two people, but there wasn't much space to put my luggage. A twin room seems to be a little more spacious, so I think it would be better for two people. In addition to that, the bathroom is also very small. Although they are often 3-piece units, the bathtubs are also very small. I think it would be difficult even for women to store hot water and enter the bath. If you want to take a relaxing soak, there are public baths nearby, so we recommend using them.Next, the amenities and room facilities are too minimal. I don't have a gown to sleep in. There is shampoo and body soap, but no conditioner. Also, despite the coronavirus pandemic, there was no hand wash.Regarding the facilities in the room, there is no TV or kettle. The futon was flimsy and I didn't want to turn on the heater too much, but it was so cold that I couldn't sleep without it.Lastly, the front desk was not very responsive. The front desk is only staffed from 11:00 to 18:00, so the rest of the time it is unmanned. The front door is also locked, so you must enter and exit through the back door, which has a PIN code, during off-hours. Also, since the owner is a foreigner, he doesn't seem to be very good at Japanese. It might be good for people who just want to sleep near downtown Kyoto, but personally, I think a capsule hotel or Necafe would have been better for this content.

At least it's not a hotel that Japanese people should stay at. The receptionist was from overseas, couldn't speak Japanese very well, and had a bad attitude. The shampoo was made in a foreign country that I don't know much about, and my hair felt so dry the next day that I thought it would have been better not to use it. When I checked out, thinking that it was a terrible hotel, I cried and begged the receptionist to give me 5 stars. I thought I said that very well. When making a reservation, I was asked to include the secure number of my credit card. Of course I didn't send it, but I think by the time I did, everything would have been completed. This is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The only thing I can praise is that the location was good for my purpose.

The customer service was not Japanese. There were two of us staying there, but I checked in first and paid the Kyoto accommodation tax for two people. I paid something like that, and then I told the front desk that the other person was going to check in, but they kept asking me to pay the accommodation tax.Even though I told them in Japanese that the person who came first paid, they didn't let me into the room.I was told that Japanese support would only be available after 4:30 pm, so when I went to the front desk again at that time, I was able to communicate with the Japanese staff over the phone, and the misunderstanding was resolved and I was able to stay overnight.I would like to have someone at the front desk who can at least speak a little more Japanese.I will never use it again.

My first time to be in Kyoto and this cozy hotel is no more than 30 mins away from the famous spots. The owner gave us a welcoming chocolate for the new year. Also the staff were very friendly (mostly Filipinos) and can speak English as well.
