This is a small hotel, without any cafe/restaurant or bar. What they do have are comfortable large rooms, with fantastic bathrooms. Friendly staff. A well functioning laudry facility. The staff are also multilingual, making this and easy place to stay.

Quiet, beautiful, spacious. It is worth the investment for a bit of tranquility and proximity to sanctuaries and transportation buses.

Did not like this inn at all, and it was very overpriced. There was hardly any room to walk around the room. The blanket did not cover two people; we had asked for a futon and they did not give it to us. The bed was very uncomfortable. Couldn’t wait to leave this place when you ask them for things, I felt claustrophobic. We stayed five nights too many. I would not recommend it unless you have nowhere else to go. It was not very close to downtown Kyoto only to the temples.

The rooms are typical Japanese and quite spacious, suitable for travel groups. Complete amenities, spacious bathroom, very clean, can carry several large suitcases. The location close to Gion is suitable for travelers who are looking for a place away from the crowds. The closest transportation access is a bus stop, you can go directly to Kyoto station.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It’s so close to the Gion street, I can see the Yasaka Pagoda from my room. I booked the family room for 3 pax, it’s very spacious, and I enjoyed the futon experience as well. The staffs were very helpful, and on the day I checked in there’s a foreigner staff and it really helped us with the language, and he was very informative. Definitely will come back to this small local hotel when I’m planning to come back to Kyoto. Very recommended!
