Good place, very friendly staff and very clear rules. Ideal for those who want to get up early to go to Fushimi Inari-taisha, since it is steps from this place. It also has many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. In addition, there is a subway station two blocks away and the place is very quiet in general. I would return to this accommodation.

Great location. Very close to Fushimi Inari shrineThe place is so clean and well managed. You can only go in if you rent the room and have given the main door password. There is no bed, only an 1-2 inches mat foam put on a heightened floor. There are 4 floors total. 1st Fl is the lobby and public space. 2nd Fl has 5 bedrooms. 3rd Fl has 2 bedrooms and a balcont and 4th Fl has 3 bedrooms. All bedrooms has no private shower&toilet.Every floor has 1 shower and 1 toilet, including the amenities. There is also a laundry and drying machine. You can use them for free, but if you need detergent you can purchase it for ¥300.If you need coffee and tea you can purchase for ¥100 per cup, and ¥200-300 for a can of beer. For smoker, there is a balcony on 3rd Fl and terrace on 1st Fl.They provide games, anime comic books and TV on 1st floor. There is an electric piano for music lover to play. There are some coloring papers with Fushimi inari temple's theme. Everybody can color them with the color pencils provided.Overall the experiences are satisfying and worth to remember.

Lovely, friendly place to stay. Deserves a higher star rating. Hosts were very helpful and welcoming and the rooms and social spaces were kept very clean. The activities I tried (night walk and calligraphy class) were really good.

Overall everything was good. Except for the hopeless soundproofing...But since I tend to have poor night vision, I slept well.I am personally satisfied because I was able to stay in a good location at an affordable price.

Simple tourist hotel.Very strict rules (such as not eating/drinking in the room) considering the state of the rooms (not very clean). The only receptionist we spoke to wasn't very welcoming.Location is great, highly recommend Namaste restaurant around the corner.

I stayed there in February, and the entrance was a PIN code system, and when I forgot my PIN number, they were kind enough to help me out. There were people from various countries staying there, and it was a relaxing stay.

It was better than I expected!Right after winter break started2 nights in a triple room with 2 kids.Kyoto regional distribution is also available.I was able to stay at a good value. The room, shower room, and toiletThe common spaces were also clean and comfortable to use.The children had fun playing games, coloring, and drawing fox fortunes in the common space.Inari Fushimi Station and JR Inari Station are just a few minutes walk away, and there are many restaurants around the station, so it's fun to just take a leisurely stroll. this day isIt was crowded with foreign tourists. On the second day, we took the train to Shimogamo Shrine, Kinkakuji Temple, Kyoto Tower, and Fushimi Inari. On the third day, we went around Kiyomizu-dera Temple. The good location is also attractive♪Personally, I think it was the best guesthouse I've ever stayed at♡

Conveniently located near Fushimi Inari. The room is about 6 tatami mats. The walls are thin. There is no elevator and there are rooms up to the 4th floor. The stairs are outside so I don't like it on rainy days.Although the toilet and bath are separate, there is also a bathtub on the first floor. The kitchen has three gas stoves and is fully stocked with cutlery. Convenient for long-term stays. There are many foreigners. We took a free tour from the guest house and went on a night walk at Fushimi Inari. I have been to Kyoto and Fushimi Inari many times, but I never thought I would be able to go to Mt. Inari at night! The night view was beautiful and it was a great experience. This is a private guest house. I think it would be nice if someone who really understands guesthouses stayed here.(It was a shame that there were people slamming the door and coming and going over and over again in the middle of the night, and people talking in loud voices.)

I don't really understand the high reviews, that was my base information to book this place.I would say this place comes in the top 3 of the worse place I got in 2 months of travel in Japan. My room smelt all the odors from the street coming through my window, the window of the corridor or the door of this floor (depends on the wind). I smelt cigarette so much I didn't dare to open my suitcase so the clothes would smell bad afterwards. I could also smell all the fumes exhausted by the kitchen of the restaurant on the 1st floor. The air was filled by particules of fat combustion. My eyes started to feel itchy and my nose started to run. I left the same day. No refund. Nothing. The local team didn't propose me an other bedroom, nor any kind of compensation. They tried to help me a bit by giving me the air purifier of the main hall but the odor was too strong. I think the 3rd and 4th floors are affected by this issue. The only way to solve it would be to have sealed windows, a more efficient exhaust and a complete air intake system with filtration in a proper location. Also the AC in the room has no power. I felt it was a bit cold and could not ajust the temperature. The AC of the lobby is moldy. There is no elevator. My room was on the 4rd floor ! Can you imagine with 1 big suitcase and a cervical issue and 1 carry + backpack! That's the first time in 2 months of travel in Japan I see a hotel with no elevator. The light in lobby is a 5k K led horrible lighting. Very aggressive for the eyes. The coffee is not free but not bad.On the top of that, the street is extremely noisy and the windows barely filter the noise. Really, it was a nightmare for me. And for just few $ more I could had been in a 3 stars hotel.+ black mold in the AC system
