Right next to subway for easy access to entire city. We like to walk though and the mile or so walk to and from downtown was perfect. Great breakfast in the morning. Our room was very big and comfortable. Loved the rooms tea, coffee and sweets they replenished daily. Lots of amenities in the room such as razors, toothbrush etc. We needed to repair a backpack and the desk clerk gave us a sewing kit and safety pins. Loved this place.

Cannot say enough how great this place is. We did get the apartment on the first floor, very spatious, clean a lot of amenities, separate room for toilet seat, shower or sink. Complimentary refreshments filled daily. The fridge was always full. Awesome!

Staff speaks good english, checking-in wasn't an issue. Rooms are spacious, well-lit and clean. Gave breakfast a try for one morning and was surprised it was actually pretty decent. There are also a Family Mart, Sukiya and McDonalds (cross 1 traffic light) right beside the hotel. Marutamachi station is right beside the hotel as well. Diagonally across is the Imperial Garden and a bus stop with buses leading to other Kyoto tourist attractions. Really good location.

The room is spacious and clean! I also like the snacks at the mini-bar, it gives me a prelude to delicious food in Kyoto. One of the better hotels I stayed in Japan thus far. And best of all, it is just beside the subway station and Kyoto Imperial Palace Gardens. Very accessible location!

Excellent hotel, has a great location, close to train stations, bus and convenience stores; The rooms are very spacious, clean, comfortable and with a beautiful design. I would have liked to know that there were more hotels in other locations in Japan so I would always look to stay in one during my trip

It was ok, staff seemed very busy all the time! Room was clean. Was happy they had a closet. Restaurant in the hotel was very expensive- staff was nice but menu was trying to hard to be American and not very good. Except the shaved ice - that was amazing! We paid extra for the breakfast but the choices were terrible. Not sure why they had butter and jams with no bread… I would not pay in advance to get the breakfast - it was not worth the cost! Go down the street a block to School Bus Cafe’ they had a great fresh breakfast!!! Train station was very close
