I recently stayed here and was thoroughly impressed. The location is fantastic, right next to the metro and a convenient store. Everything you need is within walking distance, making it easy to explore the area without dealing with too many tourists. The rooms are clean and spacious, providing a comfortable stay. What really stood out to me was the staff. They were super nice, friendly, always had a smile, and were extremely polite.Additionally, the hotel offers a great variety of products, such us creams cleanser. Etc, which is a nice touch. I highly recommend the hotel for anyone looking for a convenient and pleasant stay.

The location is not very convenient, but the hotel itself makes up well for it. Rooms were comfortable and modern, shower and bathroom were great. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing, lots of tasty options at the buffet to choose from.

This is a great base for visiting Kyoto. The room was perfectly designed for travellers, despite it's compact size. It had everything a traveller would require. The complimentary pyjamas/lounge outfits were so comfitable. …

The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful, answering all my questions and providing assistance when I needed it. The politeness and overall experience will forever live in my memories rent-free.Hotel is next to subway station, convenience stores, pharmacy and restaurants. There is a public bath in walkable distance.Room is very nice, with just enough size to be comfortable there. There is no bath, but a fancy shower head compensated for that. One thing that was problematic was the noise from the street at night, which was not blocked by the windows. Fire department and crazy bikers were waking me up notoriously.

This hotel is very good and affordable. The location could be somewhat tricky. For some major tourist areas (etc. Ginkakuji Temple Kinkakuji Temple, ...), you should move a block to take a bus and it will take 40-60 mins (but Kiyomizudera quite near). It takes about 20 mins from the Kyoto station by bus but you need to walk about 5-7 min from the nearest bus stop. If you are coming from Osaka, Keihan railway station is very near (like 1 (one) min walk)Breakfast was excellent. It is buffet but the food is filled with Japanese family-style (?), home-style (?) food (in my mother tongue Korean, 일본 가정식). The breakfast was so good that I felt like I would not need to spend big money for up-scale obanzai.Room could be a little bit small (I stayed in single room). Especially the sink was quite small. But shower space was spacious enough (By the way Mirable-zero shower was kind of new to me and it was very comfortable). Room was very clean.CVS is right across the street but there is some vending machine on the 2nd floor.Staff was very kind. I was told that the password is on the TV screen but I could not find one. I tried to call the front desk but no one answered and it took some minutes to figure it out (the staff told me the password on the phone). Staff in the breakfast restaurant was very kind.Bed was very comfortable.TV has few channels but you can log in to your Netflix and watch it on the TV in the room.Single room does not have view. It is right adjacent to the stairwell and wall of the next building. It would be better if this information was clearly stated before reservation.

This property was a huge disappointment. Summer in Japan is brutally hot and humid. Therefore, an escape from the heat is absolutely essential. So I was shocked and dismayed when I entered my room and it was hotter than outside. I tired to turn on the AC but wasn’t sure if I did it correctly given the language barrier. I immediately called the front desk for assistance but I was laughed at and made to feel like I was in the wrong. I have never experienced anything like this anywhere in the world I have stayed before, including Japan. I have stayed at several hotels in Japan on my current trip and all have had the AC on in the room prior to our arrival. As a result, I cannot recommend this property to any travelers. There are many other properties to enjoy so please look elsewhere.

This hotel was the best one out of the 4 different hotels we stayed at during our 10 day vacation in Japan.Stayed here for 2 nights. Rooms are actually decent sized however still limited space to store luggageI liked how the toilet and shower were in a separate room from the sink.Beds are comfortable and hotel is pretty quiet at night ( we were in the room closest to the elevators)Closeby walking distance to train station, restaurants and Nishiki marketStaff are also friendly and accommodatingThe only thing I wish they could do is pre-pay luggage forwarding. We had to bring our luggage to a nearby convenience store to forward it to our next hotel. Not a big deal but would be more convenient if they could do it at the hotel.

Very nice accommodation for a great price. The rooms are great with additional toiletries provided in the room and more in the lobby. Highly recommend splurging for their breakfast, especially since you can have it included in the room price for cheaper. Huge spread, even better than any continental breakfast I've ever had.The only negative is that you will have to take multiple trains to get to most of the places, and while it's right on top of a station, the next which has access to other lines, is a 14 min walk away. Also, the A/C works great, but only after we fiddled with it for a while, so now it blows so cold. Also I would ask for the wifi password at the desk. It's supposed to display on the TV, but ours never did. A quick call to the front desk and they happily provided it over the phone.

Absolutely wonderful hotel with amazing access to everything Kyoto has to offer, and especially close to everything in Gion. With a subway station literally at the same corner as the hotel, you can't get much better as far as transportation goes! Whether by walking or with a short bus trip, you can easily get to Kiyomizu-dera, and all the major temples and shrines on Kyoto's east side, like Fushimi Inari, are accessible by subway line. Even Nara isn't all that far away for a day trip.Staff was kind and courteous, easily helping us store our bags (and the bags of so many others!) when we wanted to walk around before check-in. They always greeted us so kindly, and were positive people to work with. They also knew enough English to help us with the things we needed. The hotel has a warm atmosphere, and for such an affordable place it feels fancy. The room we had was spacious, with ample room (by Japan's standards!) to lay out suitcases on either side of the bed. They also had one of the nicest showers by far in our time in Japan, with an enclosed space and the ability to switch between a waterfall-style and handheld showerhead for a very luxurious experience. This is also a beautiful and quiet area, right by the Kamagawa river, and you can easily walk across the nearby bridge into the heart of Kyoto. Even the famous Nishiki market isn't all that far!All in all, if you're looking for a spot that's close to everything there is to do in Kyoto, is affordable, quiet, safe, spacious, and with a relaxed atmosphere, you can't go wrong with this hotel!! It really is A-best!

The hotel's location is great, close to public transport, the Kamo River, shops, and Kiyomizu Temple. Service at the front desk is excellent, but the rooms don't quite meet 4-star standards: they're small, the windows don't block out much noise, and the room's exhaust fan (not the bathroom one) can be noisy at night. Also, the elevator opens straight into the dining area on the ground floor, so you get hit with food smells right away. Seems a bit too close, doesn't it?
