Good hotel, but the service could improve a lot.Check in only at 3pm and Check out already at 11am: it is made clear on the site, but it is an aspect of the service that is inadequate for a medium-high level hotel."Essential" breakfast.

The hotel is well located, 2 subway stations in the immediate vicinity, Gion can also be easily reached on foot. Many restaurants and bars are nearby. The staff is friendly, extremely polite and helpful.Unfortunately, management is greedy. The rooms are only cleaned every 2 days, the reason given is sustainability. In reality, it's a cost savings. Room service also always ends at 2 p.m. We checked in at 12:30. The reception pointed out the standard check-in time of 3 p.m. A room was ready, but you couldn't get in without a special fee of 7,000 yen. Rip off.If you are interested in a room with a garden view, you should keep in mind that some of the rooms are in the basement. The “garden” is a light shaft about 1 m wide, which has been lovingly designed as a small Japanese ornamental garden, but you have to be aware that there is always only dim light in the room. The room size is given as 32 square meters, but 3 m of this is probably the “garden”.I didn't like the beds much. The mattress is too soft and the duvet is too long, too thick and therefore too heavy. My wife coped well with it.The breakfast is a very nice mix of western and Japanese. A small disadvantage for some may be that there is no bar or dinner restaurant

As expected, there are many foreigners here. However, there is not much contact, there is a large bath, and it is a nice hotel.

Beautiful design hotel close to metro and restaurants. Excellent breakfast with omelet station. Small bathroom like everywhere in Japan, but separate toilet and nicely finished. 2 pillows, one thick and hard, and one thin and super soft. Perfect combination! Minimal closet space
