The host is amazing, so helpful and friendly. See a wonderful picture of this place, in real life visually 10 times better, traditional Japanese. Bus and train stops within a few minutes walk. A couple of wonderful spots for eating and drinking nearby, Rokken and Last Scene River. Air conditioning, shower and futon, all make this a perfect stay.

Where to start!!The place was exactly as described in the photos and website.Our room was very clean, and the AC was on full blast when we arrived. (The tatami can be warmed during winter.)We had plenty of space available.We were welcomed by the owner and Shin, his adorable and playful dog 🥹💕 as a dog lover, it's always a treat to find local places with doggies.The owner explained all the facilities and amenities of our room and helped us bring our luggage upstairs.His response on WhatsApp was very effective and quick. He was honestly a superb host.He took us to the station on our last day at the Ryokan. I have to say that Hazuki's location is super close to the Gion area (a 5-minute walk to the subway station and a 2-minute ride).Thanks for having us. I will recommend this place so much.

The accommodation experience is great. Thank you to the owner and everyone at the B&B for providing such a good place for everyone to experience an old Japanese house.Staff service: Of course, there will be staff to remind you before staying and checking out, and the response speed is very fast, so you don’t have to worry about not being able to find someone. And the boss is very nice and introduces the room and reception carefully.しんちゃんめちゃかわいい.Room equipment: It is an old Japanese-style tatami house. The sound insulation is not that good. You have to speak softly in the room, but it does not affect the quality of the accommodation. The guests staying there are all of high quality and sleep well.Bathhouse: There is a bathhouse on the first floor, which is very comfortable to soak in. Those who want to experience bathing may wish to give it a try.Location: It is about a 10-minute walk from the nearest subway Kujo. It is very leisurely accompanied by the Kamogawa River along the way. When you arrive, the environment is quiet and reassuring.Luggage storage: Luggage can be stored. It is recommended to inquire the day before check-in or in advance.Note: No breakfast, no elevator! But the boss provides delicious coffee for self-service and is very considerate in assisting with luggage, so there is no need to worry about the stairs.

I stayed at this hotel in early 2023. I’m Japanese and My American boyfriend was visiting me in Japan and he booked this hotel for us. First of all, they gave us a different room by mistake which was smaller than the one we booked originally but they said they couldn’t change it. We went to the onsen they had, when we got out the owner was waiting on us then said “you only can use this onsen in the night time” I asked what time we can start using it, but he kept saying “night time” and didn’t say exactly what time which was so weird. They didn’t tell me that rule at all before and suddenly saying that to us was so rude. Also while we were staying there, there was a family with kids and the kids were so loud and running around. My boyfriend was so excited for his first ever Japan and Kyoto and I felt so bad for him. Honestly everything was so bad about this hotel. I don’t recommend it if you want to experience nice stuff in Kyoto. It sucked.

It's our first time visit kyoto and I think this was the best experience of stay I had compare to tokyo and osaka. I love the history and antique design of the house, location not the best but its conveniencely 6mins walk to the nearest station and local bus stop, road is very quiet and abit dark at night but i love to walk throught that small alley in morning make us feel like we are living as local life and from tourist crowd, nearby Hazuki have cafe what opened earlier than many other cafes.The owner/manage he was very helpful and friendly, I remembered on the day we checked out, he offer us to send by his car to kyoto JR Station but we already booked a taxi and help helped us talked to taxi driver to make sure he drive us to correct destination.I would highly recommend Hazuki if you want experience the most affordable , friendly owner, and plus the room is super HUGE, we got out room at ground floor, we have our own Dining room with bedroom, I love the floor warmer and comfy bed.I will come back again next stay and no regret to stay here.Thanks hazuki for committed to your best with affordable rate.
