On December 4, 2023, we made a reservation on Retty for dining on January 8, 2024, and arrived half an hour early. In order not to disturb the store, we waited outside in the wind and rain for half an hour. When the time was up, the door did not open and there was a knock on the door. There was no response, because we were sightseeing and there was no phone. In order to confirm, we still used a high-rate long-distance phone call to inquire, and the answer we got was that it did not count as an appointment. So the guest’s time is the time?I saw that the store sent a letter on 1/3 to explain that the reservation was unsuccessful. It took a month for the reply to come back. Moreover, we were already in Kyoto before 1/3 and had been confirming the letter before departure, so we thought the reservation was successful. The attitude of the store, whether on the phone or in the comments, is frustrating.

I don’t know if your store’s reservation method is good-looking?After completing the online reservation, a confirmation email was sent to us asking us to choose the meal on the reservation day. Not only was the door not open today, but it was also very rude to call us and refused to let us have a meal. They said that such a reservation does not count as a reservation and that we have to receive guests who are staying at the hotel. Meal.Such disrespectful behavior is really unacceptable. If you can't treat every customer equally, please don't open a store. No matter how delicious the food is, it won't matter.I can't imagine that Japan and Kyoto would behave so disrespectfully. It's very embarrassing.

Very frustrating! I made a reservation online and received a confirmation email, so when I arrived outside the store, it was too early and the wind had been blowing for about 30 minutes.I wanted to wait until the reservation time, but the door was still open even after the time. did not. . When I asked over the phone, the staff at the restaurant said, ``We're sorry, but we're already full,'' and I told them that we had already made a reservation, but they said again, ``We don't consider that to be a confirmed reservation.'' Therefore, they said that they would give priority to guests staying overnight. And online guests continued to emphasize that just making a reservation online does not constitute a completed reservation. However, even though we had already received our reservation number, ordered the meals we had planned, and came to Kyoto with high expectations, we were treated so rudely that we were really disappointed in the Japanese and Kyoto people. I felt embarrassed.

It was a restaurant where you could tell that each dish was delicately and carefully prepared! Even in high-end restaurants these days, eel is usually grown overseas or farmed, but here I was able to get domestically produced eel, and I felt the professionalism of the chef.Since it was Children's Day, I was very happy to be able to enjoy the appearance of the food, which included origami helmets and carrots cut into the shape of a five-storied pagoda. The staff at the store were also very kind and talked to me, making me feel comfortable. This is a restaurant I always want to visit when I come to Kyoto again.thank you

I had lunch with a friend who came from another prefecture and asked for a tatami room. The garden was beautiful, and I was very satisfied with the food and customer service.
