It was a well-equipped townhouse in a quiet environment, and we had a very comfortable stay even in winter. I was staying with my elderly mother, and the main room had floor heating, a comfortable sofa, a bed for a good night's sleep, and toilets on each floor. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was happy. There are a certain amount of tableware and cooking utensils, so you can easily prepare your own meals, or you can ask someone to have it catered for you.I'm a local, but once in a while it's nice to spend a special holiday close to home. The staff are friendly and this is a highly recommended accommodation.

It was well-equipped and I was able to make simple meals, which was helpful because I didn't have to eat out during the coronavirus pandemic. I was grateful that there was a rice cooker, toaster, microwave, pots and pans, and fixtures. If I had to be greedy, it would have been nice to have a medium-sized plate. It was also very convenient for going out into town. thank you for helping me.

From the moment I met the staff at the check-in counter before staying, I felt that this was a wonderful accommodation. He was a very pleasant person and looked me in the eye while smiling, which may seem obvious, but I think it's very important. When we were having trouble deciding where to go, they provided us with a map that plotted our current location, accommodation, and even recommended points. As a tourist, we couldn't have been more impressed.Even when I needed to use the luggage storage and delivery service on short notice, they were very helpful, and when I arrived at the hotel in the evening, they proactively turned on the heating in the room. It was truly warm hospitality for us who came back from the cold city of Kyoto in the middle of winter.Needless to say, the inside was wonderful. I was more satisfied than I saw in the photo. The kotatsu in the Japanese-style room was especially soothing for us, who were tired from walking around town.Up until now, I have stayed at various accommodations for travel and work, but I have never stayed in such a wonderful and unforgettable accommodation.I really recommend it.I would like to use our hotel again when I go to Kyoto.

Staying at this machiya was great. After exploring the city, to be able to come back in the evening to this traditional Japanese house really made the experience. While traditional is style, the appliances and such were all modern, so our stay was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying at this machiya.

It was a wonderful inn where you could experience traditional Kyoto townhouse life.Although it is a historic building, the interior is very beautiful and clean, allowing you to stay comfortably while enjoying the atmosphere of a townhouse.I liked that it was different from the others because it had stylish decorations throughout, such as the bathroom with a window that looked out onto the courtyard. This time we were just two people, but the kitchen and bedding are well-equipped and it looks like it would be fun for a large group, so next time I would like to bring friends and family with me.
