3 of us girls wanted a private onsen hotel. We've spent 2 nights here. At first if you try to find the place, it was a bit difficult because the entrance is in an alley. See my photos with blue highlight are the 2 entrances of the alley. The alley goes from a residential area through to the river. Once we got in, as other reviews, you will have to go up about 15 steps of stairs so do prepare if you have heavy or large luggage. The room itself is the same as other photos. We've asked them to also prepare the tatami for us to experience. The tatami room is also connected to another room or another apartment next door. There are 2 locked doors which we cannot open. At first we were a bit skeptical that someone might open those doors. We would suggest to have a manual lock from the tatami room for security comfort. Again from other reviews, there is no sink from the kitchen area you will need to wash dishes in the bathroom sinks. There main ensuite will have 2 bathroom sinks and there is another bathroom beside the tatami room. The washer/dryer is combined and it took 3 hours+ from start to finish. Clothes were not 100% dry but good enough so plan ahead if you want to wash a lot of clothes. The staffs from hotel chat is great. They helped us measured the bath tub which can definitely fit 2 people. The location is in a quiet area with walkable distance to the main road where restaurants and shops are. A very beautiful neighborhood. We also rented kimonos and took many photos In this quieter area by a river. It was totally worth staying in the area of Gion. We have also booked the omakase at the restaurant on the ground floor. What a great experience!I would definitely recommend you to stay here for a couple of days to experience a quieter area in Kyoto!

I stayed in Kyoto for 2 nights. It was clean and tidy, the futon was soft and the facilities in the room were excellent. It had a hot spring and the location was perfect, so I made the right choice. However, I came here by taxi from Kyoto Station, but even when I told the taxi driver the address, he didn't know, and the person in the other taxi gave me the same answer, so next time I will call Tatsumi Shrine. I have been told.

★Hot spring accommodation★It feels clean and just beautiful★There is a restaurant right next door that is open until late at night. We used it for 7 people and it was spacious and comfortable. As soon as you enter, the bar counter will make you feel excited. At the welcome, we were given matcha tea and Japanese sweets, and received an explanation of how to use the accommodation. One thing is that the bathroom has blinds, but it is made of glass. It is connected to the bedroom, so if a large number of people are expected to use it, I would like to see improvements such as installing a fogging sheet here.Other than that, it was a truly wonderful accommodation. thank you very much.
