I highly recommend this hotel the staff are extremely helpful and room is delightful and the area is old world and quaint with only a leisurely walk or short train ride to every thing you could want.

I would recommend this hotel. Although it’s not in the Centre of Kyoto, it is accessible to many attractions by foot. It is also near the bus/ train station, and there are a lot of options for good food nearby. It’s a very quaint hotel to stay and explore Kyoto.

The hotel is located in a very quiet area and close to the Miyako Messe Exhibition Center.The public connection is very good, you can actually reach all important areas by subway and buses.It is a small hotel, so it feels very quiet and familiar. The rooms are quite typically Japanese, so rather small, but very nice and with a separate bathroom and toilet.For 500 yen you can use the washing machine and dryer, and you get the detergent for free.I didn't book breakfast so I can't rate it.

Location, cleanliness and friendliness are all good. However, there is a lot of noise between floors, and charging 800 yen as accommodation tax for 2 nights seems excessive.

It's in a very quiet and good location. There was a comment that the room was noisy, but when I stayed there, there was no noise at all and it was very comfortable! I had a relaxing time~The location is perfect, less than 1 minute from Higashiyama Station on the Tozai Subway Line.The room was a double, but it was quite spacious with a table and chairs, and the bed and futon were just the right firmness and comfortable.I really liked that the toilet and bath were separate.You can walk to Chion-in, Yasaka Shrine, and Heian Shrine! Because of this location, you can go to Chion-in Temple in the morning, take a break at the hotel, and visit Heian Shrine in the afternoon. Gion and Pontocho are also a little far away, but it's still very atmospheric to stroll through the streets of Kyoto. It's also good that the subway station is right nearby.The front staff was kind and gave me a lot of information, so I plan to use them again.

We were staying in this hotel but were away in Nara for day trip. I asked them for help to call a particular dental clinic in Tokyo to secure an emergency appointment where we will be in tokyo the next day. They went extra mile to help us search for multiple English speaking dentist clinics in Tokyo. On top of that, they took initiative to dig up our yamato slip so they can call the clinics near our hotel. What an exceptional service!Room is a bit smallish but v clean and in an excellent location. Buses and metro station right at the doorstep! Nice canal at the doorstep too!!

The hotel is very clean. The location is really good. It’s convenient to get there. It’s quiet and comfortable. The staff can communicate in Chinese so you don’t have to worry about any difficulties. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Rooms are slightly larger than your typical Japanese hotel room. But what I really appreciated is that when I asked them to hep me call a dentist for a tooth emergency on the day I was leaving for Tokyo, they not only got a dentist near our Tokyo hotel, but also an English speaking one.All this done on a Sunday when alot of clinics were closed.The hotel is also located next to a water drainage area that looks like a river which was nice.
