This is a ryokan where you can enjoy 120% of Kanazawa, with its wonderful historic architecture, delicious food, and beautiful Noh stage. Although there is nothing around, it is highly recommended for a journey to quietly reflect on yourself and heal your soul. We also offer drop-in baths until 3pm, so you can enjoy the hot springs to your heart's content. Great spot!

The hot spring water is wonderful and your skin feels slippery. It has a clear coffee color and is almost odorless with only a slight odor. The building, furniture, and rooms are all old. When I arrived, the smell reminded me of a country house 😅Washlet was new🤭There were more people from Europe and America. My room was on the first floor, but I could hear people walking around on the second floor. On the way back, he kindly explained to me with a neatly handwritten map. There are Noh stages outside and inside the building.

About 20 minutes by car from Kanazawa Station, Fukatani Onsen is one of the best hot springs in Kanazawa, founded in the first year of Kansei as a hot spring inn approved by the Kaga clan. The hot spring is called Moor Spring, and it is smooth, amber-colored hot water that is rich in medicinal properties. The guest rooms are decorated in a traditional red color. Kujaku no Ma, which was relocated from Kitamaebune's marine merchant's residence. You can see the craftsmanship in the fusuma paintings and transoms.Meals are made with fresh ingredients from the sea and mountains. The crab was delicious. There are full-fledged Noh stages inside and outside, and Takigi Noh performances are held several times a year.Eating while watching the stage performance is also a great option.

Thank you for taking care of me on a day trip. The inn itself was closed, butDay trip bathing was open, soIt was in a reserved state. The hot spring quality is Moor hot spring, and it is coffee colored.Speaking of the mall, it is the hot spring for beautiful skin.We stayed for about an hour, but it was a very nice hot spring. On the day I asked, the proprietress explained that the day before, a Noh dance had been performed on an outdoor stage with a bonfire lit.It is also a hot spring that I would like to visit.

Such a wonderful experience! We were fortunate to stay 2 nights at this beautiful ryokan. Everything was excellent - service, staff, room, food, gardens, common area spaces, and of course the onsen. We'd love to have stayed another night, but they were booked out. It is located a little way out of town, which adds to the charm and there is a bus to the station leaving just after 9am and returning from the station at around 3pm. Taxi was also easy and reasonably priced. We will definitely stay again.Thank you!

A beautiful traditional Japanese Inn nestled into the mountains. This was a very serene place to stay after having spent the first several days of our trip in Tokyo. The building itself was immaculate and beautiful. You could truly feel the age and experience of the inn, without any concern about it feeling worn down or deteriorated. The inn itself was so comfortable that instead of going into Kanazawa during the day, my fiancée and i decided to instead just sit in relax, reading in the meditation/reading room. The room we got was a wonderfully large tatami room that overlooked the main entrance to the Inn. Not once did we have any issues with noise etc.The food itself was an amazing traditional experience, with so many courses of food. Each plate was fairly small, but the sheer amount of different items being brought out meant that more often than not I couldnt even finish the full meal, and I am a massive guy who normally eats way too much to be healthy! The sheer variety as well meant I got to try so many different things that I normally would never have considered ordering myself at a regular restaurant. The hot springs themselves are very quaint. The water looks like you are bathing in coffee! As a Canadian the water was very hot, and I could only stay in the hot springs for a short while before the steam started making me light headed. Definitely more potent than any hot spring Ive experienced here in North America.Overall though the best part of our two night stay came down to the amazing staff running the inn. I speak next to no Japanese and yet that didnt stop the staff from going above and beyond to make sure our every need was met. Whether that be the staff coming out to greet us and personally take our bags to and from our room, to them making sure we were comfortable and happy relaxing in the reading rooms during the morning room cleaning (even coming to find us to let us know when our room was done!). They even went so far as to personally deliver dessert to my fiancee in our room after a mix up at dinner, not to mention their amazing help they gave my brother and his boyfriend, when the two of them accidentally left one of their bags at the inn, making sure it got delivered to them in Kobe within just two days! When we next come to Japan, we are definitely returning, and we will be recommending this inn to all our friends in Japan, as well as everyone we know who plans to visit this wonderful country!

We spent two nights at the ryokan and loved every minute. From the first moment we felt comfortable. You are warmly welcomed and shown to your room. Because we, as foreign guests, are not very familiar with Japanese customs, everything was explained to us in a very friendly and patient manner. We had many questions and each one was answered. Thank you for that. The onsen was a great experience and very clean. The water is very pleasant. The traditional food was wonderful. We were thrilled. Here too, all the ingredients that we did not know were explained to us in detail. The quality of the food was first class. The preparation is incredibly delicious. As we were saying goodbye to the ryokan, two employees came to the street and waved after us until we had disappeared around the bend. Almost as if your family was saying goodbye. Very cordial. All in all, our stay was very successful. We won't forget him

Don’t hesitate. Book it. This incredibly warm and charming ryokan is outmatched only by the incredible service of the staff. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy, and were confident speaking as much English as they could for us. We didn’t realize how just special the meals were until we talked to locals in other cities who were shocked at the local delicacies we were served. My skin will be enjoying the benefits of the onsen for weeks to come, as will my memories!
