One of the best hostels I've stayed in.The owner is an absolute legend and will go out of his way to make sure you have an amazing time in Kanazawa. He recommended several places to visit that I was not aware of and provided us with a map of the city which he marked with restaurant recommendations and more. Some highlights he gave us that I would not have otherwise known about was Mori Mori Sushi in Omicho Market and a TeamLabs Night Show at Kanazawa Castle.Furthermore, as it was quiet when we were visiting he offered us to have a whole 6 person room just for the two of us. After he found out we were visiting Shirakawa-go as our next destination he informed us that you 100% need to reserve these bus tickets in advance (he was correct) and went through the trouble to call the bus company and place the order for us in Japanese. When we were leaving as well he helped us to hail a taxi back to the station, as he tried to call one by phone and they were supposedly all booked out.The beds in the room were comfortable and the toilet and shower facilities were all clean as you would expect. The location is pretty much right in the middle of everything you'd want to visit in Kanazawa. If walking, you can access Kanazawa Castle, Kenroku-en Park and Omicho Market all within around 20 minutes, and the Samurai district in around 30 mins.Kanazawa was one of our favourite destinations in Japan and the incredible hospitality we received at Stella played a large role in that. At only around $50AUD per night you will not find a better location in Kanazawa (or many other places for the matter) for cheaper. Highly recommended.

It was reserved for 12 people during the first half of Golden Week.Located near Higashi Chaya, the location, cleanliness, and low price are very good.I made a reservation on airbnb, but there was an accommodation tax of 200 yen per person, so I had to pay separately in cash.

Impeccable accommodation. The location is very convenient to nearby attractions. The boss is very nice and friendly. He also helped me and my colleagues book buses and recommended great attractions and restaurants nearby. The boss can speak a little Chinese and has no problem communicating in English. The room is very comfortable and the accommodation is super clean. I will come again next time

I made a reservation through the hotel's website, but due to a mistake on the hotel's side, the reservation was canceled on the same day.

The owner is honestly one of the best human you can meet. If you need help with anything, be sure he will be there to answer all of your questions. He got me a rented wheelchair and helped with hospital on a Sunday because I had an injured foot. I cannot thank him enough.Concerning the private room, it was small but perfect.Location was perfect as wellThe noise can however bothers you if you are a light & early sleeper. The shower is on the other side of the wall, as well as an other private room and upstairs is a bunk bed room with people that seems to jump and knock on the ground very late.It was quiet around 11 pm to 7:30 am.
