What a welcome. Charming, caring hosts. It was raining heavily when we arrived. We dried our luggage and our raincoats, put our shoes on a drying rack and served a nice tea. …

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights at this lovely ryokan and the host was super kind and helpful, he suggested a great restaurant. The public bath was really nice and comfortable after full days of intense walking.

A traditional ryokan with some incredible 1970s decor. You will feel like you've stepped back in time, in a good way. Staff could not have been more helpful.

The rooms were small, as was to be expected from a traditional style hotel. It can be a little hard if you have a lot of bags. The shower areas were nice and spacious. The personnel had a basic understanding of English which isn't something which is to be taken for granted in Japan. They were very helpful. When I was using the dryer in the evening I couldn't finish drying because the noise would hinder the guests. They helped me find a different way to dry my clothes in the hotel. The location is excellent. You are within walking distance of almost all major sights.

Although it is a long-established inn, it has been partially renovated and was very clean. I went there with a friend and it was a very nice inn. A friend of mine also said it was a good inn. There was tamagoyaki for breakfast and it was delicious. The room was also comfortable. I slept well.
