I paid 37,000¥ and I got a tiny room with SHARED TOILET. Beware of the trick they use on Trip.com where the Japanese room has a HUGE RANGE - 16-25 sqm… and even tho they mentioned “smart toilet” in the description, you can still get a SHARED toilet. Super upset now. It is also extremely inconvenient and the onsen setting is only so-so.

I used it when I went to Tokachi for work, a place I had always wanted to visit. Softbank's signal goes out in the vicinity, but it's okay around the hotel. ♨The open-air bath is large and nice, but it's a bit lukewarm. The hot indoor bath was nice. It would be a good idea to put up some kind of signboard as the parking lot space is difficult to find.

I stayed here while on a bike tour.Be careful with anything other than off-road bikes. At night, we walk for 2 to 3 kilometers along a pitch-black gravel road.It was a difficult journey, but the secret hot springs and breakfast were of a very high standard, and the host was a friendly and gentlemanly man.The inn itself feels unique to the era, but the location is also very interesting, and it was a popular inn that was used for filming a TV drama. The rooms have been renovated and the yukatas provided are clean. There's a thrill of seeing animals along the way, and it's tough at nightfall, but I don't think there's any ryokan that's as satisfying as this one at this cost performance.

The owner was unfriendly and yelled at the foreign female employee, which was unbearable.

I finally came to the hot spring that I had been curious about for a long time. I stopped by on a day trip around 4pm during Obon, but there was no one there except my family, so I was able to relax and use the giant rock hot springs with my family. Although it is a mixed bathing facility, there is also a hot water bath, so it seems safe for women as well.I don't know the accommodation, but the hot spring facility was well kept and very clean. The hot springs along the river had a sense of secluded territory and were great! It reminded me of Kurokawa Onsen in Kumamoto.

The hot water was good, but there were so many horseflies that I couldn't take a relaxing bath.Next time I would like to go when there are no horseflies.
