5 minutes by car from the center of Akiu Onsen. It was a weekend but it was reserved. Adults 600 yen. The hot water is clear and colorless. No smell. Two washing areas. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap provided. The rest area is shared between men and women, and there are 3 sofas for 2 people. There are a few stairs with handrails up to the women's bath. The overall impression is that it has been renovated, but unfortunately the cleaning seems to have not been done properly. I might come back again as a day trip to the hot springs on my way home.

This is my personal opinion. There is no air conditioning. It looked like an old ordinary house, and I didn't feel like I was in a hot spring. It was arranged by a friend, and I had heard that the amount of food would be large, but the host said it would be cheap, so he said it would be less. There were no other customers other than us, and we didn't feel very welcome. However, they were kind enough to let me cancel even though it was on the same day.

I visited for a day trip bath (600 yen). The hot spring is a simple alkaline spring with a temperature of 27 degrees and a pH of 8.6, and the main bathtub is heated and circulated. The small bathtub in the back left? It was filled with hot spring water, and it felt great when I put it on over my head.It seems like you can stay there for a reasonable price even if it includes one night and two meals, so it might be a good idea to use it for an overnight stay.

It is said to be a hot spring that has existed in Akiu Onsen for a long time. It's a small bathtub, but I joined a local person who told me that if my legs and back hurt, I could take a bath here every day and I wouldn't need a doctor. It seems that they are no longer offering self-catering hot spring treatments, but since you can stay there for less than 5,000 yen per night, some people are staying there for a long period of time.

I stopped by on a very cold day to take a day trip bath on my way back from mountain climbing. The hot water was very nice and warmed me to the core.Prices are high everywhere in Miyagi Prefecture, except for the public baths, but Akiu is a good value for money at 600 yen.Near the entrance, there is a stylish lounge space that seems to have been recently renovated. It's nice to have a relaxing time waiting for your partner while listening to JAZZ here.I think it's a nice hot spring that's crowded, doesn't have any unnecessary decorations, and sticks to the basics.I would like to use it for an overnight stay next time.Shampoo etc. available. There is a hair dryer.

I used the indoor bath twice, but there were no other bathers either time.
