It is not suitable for those who expect to be greeted respectfully upon arrival and have the kind of service that comes to the room to greet them. In this respect, you may feel that the staff's response is curt. However, if you spend a night there, I think you will receive a warm welcome that is more than average. The location is very good, as it's in the center of the hot spring town, so as soon as you step out the front door, you're right in the middle of the town. This is a big advantage especially at night, so I'm glad I didn't have to settle for an inn that was a little further away from the cityscape, where it was relatively easy to get reservations. The facilities are a typical inn without anything special to mention, and since it's an old hot spring town, it's not sophisticated, but I think it's kept well-cleaned. The bath is also traditional and small, but since it's reserved for private use, it's not a problem. The food was especially great, all of it was good, but the Tsuyahime rice from Yamagata was really delicious. Other dishes that left an impression on me were the Obanazawa Beef and the grilled silver cod.

Everyone at the inn was kind and it was a small inn with only four groups per day. You can hear a small violinist playing.

Although it is a small inn that only accommodates up to 4 groups per day, I am satisfied with the cleanliness. The bath is small, but the hot water is quite good and I am satisfied. The portions of food are large, even for an adult male, but they are so delicious that you can eat them all.In particular, the soba noodles are on par with famous soba restaurants.

I went on a trip to Tohoku. It was one of the best travel destinations I've ever been to. I was able to relax in the hot springs in a private room and took a bath three times. I'm glad the food came out very delicious as well. However, of all the places I've been to (dozens of places), this was by far the largest quantity. It tasted so good that I was able to finish it all, but it was more than I could finish without having to buy food elsewhere. It's so delicious that it's best to hold off on eating elsewhere and prepare for meals at your hotel. The customer service was also attentive and made me feel attentive. I want to come again.

This experience happened 5 years ago, but even thinking about it now makes me feel very uncomfortable.I am a tourist from Taiwan who stayed at the hotel on October 16th.When I first made the reservation online, I chose to pay locally, but since it was a long trip, I was worried about carrying a lot of cash, so I decided to travel. I made the advance payment online two months ago. However, when I checked out, the host told me that the payment had not been made. I showed them my pre-paid reservation, but the host first insisted that I pay on-site. When I asked the host if he could check on me, he just looked at me without doing anything, saying, "Yeah," in a disbelieving tone.In the end, I looked for my credit card statement, told the host the date of payment, and the host fumbled with his smartphone. Well, I said 300 yen for the bathing tax would be fine. Without a word of apology, they just asked for the bathing tax.Ginzan Onsen is a very popular tourist destination, so you may not have to worry about the lack of tourists, but for me, I could only say I was disappointed.
