This onsen offers a view of trains passing through the forest. Unfortunately, there were no trains operating on the day of my visit. However, the owner was very kind and helpful.

I found another wonderful bath in the Naruko Onsen area. This is Janoyu Yukichi, located in a corner of the area lined with inns in Nakayamadaira Onsen.Since the indoor bath and the open-air bath are priced separately, I chose the open-air bath on this day.Early in the morning on a weekday, on a cloudy day with a slight breeze, I took a luxurious soak in a private bathtub that could fit 20 people, feeling a little apologetic as I wondered if it was okay for me to have such happiness all to myself. The hot water had a slimy feel, typical of Nakayamadaira Onsen, and the hot water was flowing vigorously from the spout. There are also new toilets in the open-air bath building, and hair dryers in the changing rooms. Although it is an open-air bath, there is also a washing area in a separate room, complete with shampoo. After taking a bath, Moukami seemed to be quite relaxed, and we relaxed for a while on the swing that can accommodate two people.I will definitely come again.Next time I would like to try the indoor bath as well.

We stayed in a room for two people, no meals, and a toilet and sink in the room for just over 5,000 yen per person during the busy season of August.Take off your shoes at the entrance and change into slippers."it was good"※roomThe room is quite large, with a refrigerator, sink, and toilet inside.※bathThe open-air bath is new and spacious, with a spectacular view along the river.“It was bad.”*Inside the buildingNo elevator to the 3rd floor. The guest house is old overall and retains a strong Showa era feel.※roomThere is a step when entering.※bathThe number of washing areas is small compared to the size of the bath.I was told to be careful of horseflies, but there were so many horseflies that it was quite difficult. It wasn't a place to take a leisurely soak. It might be said that it can't be helped if it's natural, but there are many inns that don't have insects even in the same natural environment, so aren't there differences in efforts behind the scenes such as using insecticides?

I used the newly opened open-air bath. The spring quality is good, but you will have to fight with horseflies⚔️I got bitten in 3 places💥If you want peace, we recommend only using the indoor bath♨️
