I used it to purchase rice cakes. Although you can purchase it at other stores, we recommend purchasing it here immediately after production. During busy times, it seems that they may sell out immediately.Local tourist guides also mention it, but because Inahanamochi itself is a living thing, it is generally raw and has a best-before date of only the same day. It will harden even if you leave it for a while. It is a unique unit of measurement, and it is called ``piece'', which is mochi. It looks like three pieces of rice cake sandwiched between two leaves. It's a surprisingly solid rice cake, and it feels filling.

This is a shop in the hot spring town of Zao Onsen.I decided to buy Inahana mochi, a specialty of Zao Onsen, because it was sold here.It seems to be pronounced ``Igamochi'' when written as ``Inahanamochi.'' It seems that there are several other stores selling Inahanamochi, but all the other stores are out of stock. Maybe I was lucky.Inahana mochi is a confectionery that has been made in Zao Onsen for 100 years, and is made of rice flour mochi arranged in three rows on top of bamboo grass, with strained bean paste inside. One of its characteristics is that it has yellow rice grains on it, and of course it seems to have a meaning, but please ask Mr. Google for details (lol)The unique feature of this rice cake is that you can eat it directly from the bamboo without getting your hands dirty. When you eat it, it has a refreshing bamboo scent, a chewy texture, and melts from the inside. A kind of bean paste will pop out. The rice cake and red bean paste were well balanced and quite delicious.

I bought rice cake. I bought a lot and froze what I couldn't eat right away, and it was delicious. The red bean paste here was moist and I felt it was a little sweet. Thank you for the meal.

Unbeatable value! This is a great budget hotel that is very well located on the main street, next to the bars, restaurants and a short walk from the ski lifts. The staff are warm, helpful and really looked after our kids. I will be staying here on my future visits. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend this hotel!!Throughout our time at the hotel, they displayed exceptional warmth and generosity. Their generosity and genuine care for us as guests created an unforgettable experience. During our stay, they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction, making us feel truly valued. They would always ask about how I was finding the ski holiday, and the mochi was lovely! Absolutely delicious. I totally understand why the mochi was sold out when I wanted to buy them. True 'omotenashi' (a Japanese philosophy to wholeheartedly look after guests.) Trust me, you won't regret booking your stay at this amazing hotel. The hotel is positioned at an excellent location, conveniently situated just a short walk away from both Lawson, and the ski slopes. As someone who finds carrying around ski equipment tiresome, I found the location very convenient. The hotel was amazing. Truly. Strongly recommended!

The owners and the staff are very friendly, the service is very good. The price range is very cheap, with very good location. The breakfast and dinner are Japanese style. It is delicious! Also, it is 6 minutes from the ski resort. They sell Igamochi at the gate, which is delicious. The Igamochi is very famous as it is one of the famous traditions in Zao, and they hand-make it! There is a convenience/souvenir store on the opposite, with a Lawson 5 minutes away! The public onsen is about like a minute away.It is very good and I highly recommend it! I also added a photo of the Igamochi, and the other photo shows how they welcome us! They made specially crafted snowballs and wrote the words WELCOME! I loved it! You should go there too!

It was a ski trip that I thoroughly enjoyed. The owner and other staff are really friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it!Just walking around Zao Onsen Town is fun, and I think everyone from beginners to advanced skiers can enjoy the ski resorts as well. This inn has a good location, good value for money, good food, and the other guests are also nice! ? (I was impressed by how friendly the guests were talking to each other.)The hospitality was so wonderful that I wanted to stay longer. I'm planning to go again next year. When my children grow up, I want them to live and work there!
