It will be Kurikoma Onsen. You need to drive to the top of the mountain,On that day, the road was very foggy and very dangerous. It was a wonderful hot spring that was worth it.I didn't have time so I couldn't have soba noodles.I would definitely like to try the soba noodles next time.

I stayed here this time because I couldn't forget the view from the open-air bath that I saw when I used it for a day trip in 2023.This inn is located on the border between Iwate and Akita prefectures, and Sugawa Kogen Onsen is on the Iwate side. The hot spring water is drawn from the Sugawa side, so it is a little less fresh than Sugawa, but the milky white, cloudy water is hot enough to make your body tingle. The inside of the hotel was fully air-conditioned, and the cell phone signal and WiFi were perfect, so I was able to spend my time without any inconvenience. For breakfast and dinner, the menu features carefully selected dishes. There was quite a variety of appetizers alone. The salt-grilled rockfish was cooked through and I ate it all the way down to the bones and the head. The staff's response was cheerful and kind, and they made me smile.Compared to Sugawa Plateau, there are fewer guest rooms and the hurdles when staying overnight are higher, but I would personally recommend this inn unless you want to stay at an inn run by a secret hot spring protection association or are a fan of supremacy over the source. The rooms are clean, the food is delicious, and the mobile and WiFi connections are good.If you are looking for hospitality, Kurikoma Sanso is the safest choice.By the way, if you stay at this inn, you can also receive a free ticket for one-day bathing at Sugawa Kogen Onsen. It's also fun to visit each hot spring.

I used it for a day trip bath. The quality of the spring water is very wonderful. The outdoor view was not good because of the cloudy weather, but cloudy weather and haze can also be considered good because of the atmosphere of mountain weather, so it was not a negative thing.I went there from Kyushu, so it's not a place I get to visit often, but it's a place I'd like to visit again if I have the chance. When you go up from the Iwate Prefecture side, the road is narrow and it is difficult for cars to time their departure. If possible, it would be better to enter from the Akita Prefecture side. I don't think there's a problem with either one on two wheels.Lockers cost 100 yen, but you can get them back. Don't forget it on the way home ☆

Used for day trip bathing. The weather was rainy and bad, so I couldn't see the scenery that was supposed to be nice! However, the quality of the spring water is top-notch, so I had a relaxing time!I was surprised that there were so many climbers.
