THE MOST- Accommodation was relatively inexpensive for Kyoto. The advantage at least of being far from the center and in a residential area is that it is quiet.- The owner was quite friendly and correct. He is not available during the day but comes in the evening and stays the night. For me it wasn't a problem, for others maybe it would be. When I checked in, I asked if there was a way to get a bed downstairs, especially since I had booked 5 nights, but I ended up getting a bed upstairs. high. Then he came back a few minutes later, and I got the bottom one, I didn't quite understand but I was satisfied.- What I also appreciated was the fact that you can do your laundry for free: the machine is available, and detergent is also provided. On the other hand, drying on lines in the corridor in front of the bathrooms was not very practical. A towel is also provided, that's a good point, but I had to ask for it, I think he forgot to give it to me at first.- Even though the mattress was makeshift, it ultimately turned out to be rather comfortable. And the duvet too.- I don't remember any particular problem related to wifi.THE LEAST- The cleanliness really left something to be desired. Lots of dust on the sides of the bed for example, but the worst was the toilets: without exaggeration, it's probably the most disgusting toilets I've seen in 3 years of traveling around the world, I didn't think it could m Arriving in Japan, it contrasts with the rest of the country where even the public toilets are clean. It's simple, the toilets were already very dirty when I arrived and they were never cleaned during the 5 days I stayed in the establishment (if I had known, I would not have booked so many days there)- It's very rudimentary, to say the least: a makeshift bed with two small futons on a wooden board and sheets on a rope as curtains (and which fell quite easily, obviously) . I also didn't like the pillow, not thick enough for my taste. No locker either, so my backpack and stuff remained on the bed.- The accommodation is far from everything except the Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji). Not much to see in this area, and few restaurants as well.- Also be careful when going up/down to the rooms, the stairs are quite steep.

First of all, people who have a hygiene problem should stop using it. Not recommended for couples or groups of women. The stairs are steep, and people who are not confident in their muscle strength or flexibility should avoid sitting on bunk beds. It's located out of the way, so it's inconvenient if you're not good at using buses, bicycles, or other means of transportation. This is a one-off operation by the owner/manager. He lives at the front desk, and even when it's check-in time, he's holding up a ``out of town'' tag, so if you take him seriously, you'll have to wait forever. Even making the bed after guests arrive is very sloppy. It may or may not be a good fit, but I also think that he is a sloppy dark character who is not suitable for the service industry. This would be good for people who just need a good night's sleep, who want to save money, and who are experienced backpackers in cheap hotels.********************I'll add it as soon as I get a response.I even warned people about the location and transportation in my review for first-time users. If it's a one-off surgery, isn't it important to gain the customer's understanding?"I'm out. I'll be back soon." So, you don't know when you'll be back, and what's wrong with sleeping inside the front desk instead of outside?"I'm out. Please wait until ◯◯.""We're taking a break. If you need anything, please knock on the door."“If it is urgent, please call ○○-◯◯◯◯ (mobile number).”Isn't it polite and sincere to display specific excuses such as this?Is it unavoidable to be grumpy in front of guests and make the bed while clicking your tongue? You say you want to avoid hierarchical relationships and getting fired, but is a service industry where you deal with an unspecified number of customers the best solution? There may be other industries and occupations as well.I'm glad to know your true feelings and true nature. We rate it as the lowest price in the city.I won't be in contact with you anymore, but I wish you all the best.24.7.21. Honestly, do yourself a favor and put 10 more balls in cleaner accommodation closer to the center.I traveled for 9 months in Asia, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, the Philippines etc.... I always take cheap accommodation so I know what I'm talking about. This is by far the worst accommodation I have had in 9 months, a disaster, nothing is right. No locker (the dormitory base) the common areas are disgusting, the room downstairs smells musty, sweat and a whole bunch of indescribable odors. We don't talk about bedsThe reception... well it is absent. We arrive, there is a note on the door saying he will be back in 1 hour, we wait 2 hours, in the end we realize that the guy is busy cleaning in his room on the ground floor, he barely arrives 2 words for check-in.Anyway, screw 10 more balls, go somewhere else.

Within a 10 minute walk to any store or market. Able to cook inside. Decent wifi but will drop occasionally. I've been here for about a month now. It is really a decent place. I have been in much, much worse before. The owner tries to keep it clean and relaxing for all guests.

When I went in to check in, there was a sign saying that I had to leave because I had to leave, so I thought I would have to wait a bit, so I was a little disappointed that I had to wait for almost 2 hours. However, it was nice to have Japanese-style interior decorations, stairs, rooms, and kurtats. However, the location was far from nearby restaurants and tourist attractions, and you had to walk about 12 minutes to get to the main tourist attraction, so it seemed a little inconvenient. However, I think I could have been satisfied with this level of service at this price.
