Kyoto alone has nine taiyas with different styles to choose from.Although it is a century-old house, the equipment is quite new and has everything you need.Every room is of high quality and the house is in good condition🤩We chose #つきひの家 which is about 90 square metersA two-story Japanese traditional building with a history of over 80 yearsAs soon as you enter the door, you can see the large floor-to-ceiling windows and the Japanese garden.Sitting on the sofa is so inexplicably calmingYou can also take a bath in the open-air bath at night🛀Waking up early in the morning and eating freshly baked bread turned into admiring the view from the windowIt’s so beautiful when the sun shines in🍁🌞🇯🇵

It was truly a completely renovated Kyoto townhouse. The stairs were multi-layered and the atrium was impressive and comfortable. You can stay in the whole building, so you have a sense of privacy, and it's safe and secure even during the coronavirus pandemic.

I stayed here because I was interested in Japanese house renovation facilities.I was surprised by the quality of the renovation, which was different from the usual renovations. At check-in, a very pleasant guide kindly taught us how to use the facilities and what to see in the surrounding area.I was prepared for it to be cold in the old folk house in the winter, but it was comfortable as there was floor heating in the living room and bathroom, and cold weather gear was provided. The bread breakfast is also excellent, so I highly recommend it. I think it's a worthwhile option because you can enjoy not only the variety and taste of the bread, but also the service and commentary provided by the pancierge.I would definitely like to stay here again.

Four people stayed here for 1 night and 2 days in January.I tried to summarize the good and bad points, but overall I had a strong impression of the bad points.I couldn't imagine using it a second time.*Good pointsUnlike inns with many private rooms, it's a detached house, so we had a great time with a large number of people.Since the inn is made of wood, you can feel the warmth of the wood. There is an open-air bath, so I was able to take a relaxing soak without feeling hot. There is a garden and you can feel the ``Japanese'' atmosphere even from inside the inn.*Bad partsThe first guide who came to greet us was so casual in his clothes, accessories, and hairstyle that I couldn't believe he was a guide at an inn.The homepage said there was a kitchen, so I went to buy some ingredients to make some snacks, but it was much smaller than I expected and didn't have a stove or microwave. There was a sink, but there was just a kettle, coffee grinder, dripper, and tea bags in the space next to it, so it couldn't really be called a kitchen. Also, the coffee grinder had not been washed and there was a lot of dust and coffee grounds.Although it is a good old wooden inn, I was concerned that the door was poorly set up and wouldn't lock, and that it would rattle if there was even a slight breeze from outside. There were a lot of drafts, and even if I set the heating air volume and temperature to max, the room just got noisy and didn't warm up at all.Heating was only in the living room and bedroom, so I shivered in the cold as I took off my clothes, and even after warming up in the open-air bath, the water quickly cooled down. The only warm things you can find are an open-air bath, floor heating, and a kettle with hot water. In the open-air bath, the bath stopper was so stiff that I wrapped the chain in a towel and pulled it with all my might to finally get it out. Also, no matter how many times I washed it, white dandruff-like dirt kept coming up, which made me feel uncomfortable. The underfloor heating was sparsely hot and cold, so I often felt cold. There were times when I felt there were problems with the design, as some doors had no handles and were difficult to open, and all outlets were far away.

Gorgeous garden retreat with easy access to JR trains and city bus lines. The private, open air soaking tub was the perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Fast WiFi, cold air conditioning, and friendly service. If you want to treat yourself during your stay in Kyoto, Tsuhiki House is the way to go!

Machiya, a traditional Kyoto house, was reborn into a modern and sensuous space with the help of a professional architect. Without a TV, a Bluetooth speaker, a garden spread out in front of you, an outdoor hot tub, and the Arabica coffee and green tea from Ippodo made everyday life more comfortable. As the price is high, you can maintain a completely private stay. As if I were living as a local in this town. A haiku book carelessly placed next to the bed was touching.Very touched machiya stay house.Machiya, a traditional Kyoto style house, was renovated into a modern space by a professional architect. This accommodation is a renovated townhouse. The interior is sophisticated and the small garden that can be seen from the open-air bath is beautiful. The location is very inconvenient.
