Since it was a self-check-in, I didn't meet the hotel staff, but it was a clean hotel. It may be difficult if you have large luggage as there is only a spiral staircase.Take only the necessary amenities such as slippers and toothbrushes and take them back to your room.I returned to the hotel late after eating dinner outside, but the lights were always on in the shop space on the first floor, so I felt safe. However, I was disappointed that there was something like a fairly large sweat stain on the Tempur pillow. It is sufficient when traveling alone or on a business trip.I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

Thank you for staying with us for one night during the Golden Week three-day holiday. The concept is food, clothing, and shelter, and from the outside it looks like a restaurant? When you enter, you'll see carefully selected clothes on display, and as you go to the back, you'll find the hotel's front counter, a mysterious place. There are 9 guest rooms, no elevator, just stairs. Each amenity is on a shelf in the hallway, so just bring what you need to your room. I was so happy that there were bath salts! We were in a family room for 3 people, but it was enough for just sleeping. The bathroom was large, but there were no buckets or chairs, so I had to stand up to wash. The hair dryer was in the drawer on the right side of the desk where the TV was. The pillow was too fluffy and didn't fit well. In the evening, I went out to eat at Kyoto Station, so I took my card with me. There are times when the hotel is unmanned, so if you return from outside, you will have to press the lock number to enter. (You will be informed at check-in) Although our plan included breakfast, we went to eat at a restaurant outside that was affiliated with the hotel. Exit the hotel, turn left, and walk about 100 meters until you see a wooden sign with a picture of a rice bowl on it.As for parking, there are about 3 coin parking lots nearby. It will be near Higashi Honganji Temple.

One road from JR Kyoto Station. A leisurely 15 minute walk. Just straight. A young female staff member at a drink shop on the 1st floor. Feels friendly. I feel good about it.

A small inn near Higashi Honganji Temple.I was traveling by car, but there were several parking lots nearby, which I was grateful for.The location is good, so you can leave your luggage early and go for a walk around the nearby shrines and temples.Personally, one of the reasons I decided to use it was that there were several types of sake produced in Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture. I wonder if it's good).Among them, Uehara Sake Brewery's Furousen and Kazuha: Rin were very high points.Of course, the food was delicious as well. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because there's no elevator.

Really friendly and helpful staff who spoke English with us to explain what sake we we're trying, where it came from and what the differences in the actual liquor itself. If you're looking for a nice place to try some sake, here is the place

Small boutique hotel that feels ‘authentic’ without extending to being a Ryokan type of room. All the comforts of a western style bed and facilities, but without the commercial feel of a large western stele hotel.  …
