Lovely traditional Kyoto/Japanese home with beautiful garden.Very picturesque home which will really help to immerse you into the authentic Japanese way of life. Featuring two bedrooms, and one immaculate bath/shower and two downstairs toilets.Fairly well situated, it wasn't too difficult to get to where we wanted being based here. The outside street was quiet and didn't have many visitors, it was nice to get away from the hordes of tourists.24hr conbini close by which is very convenient. There was also a washer/dryer in the house but didn't seem to have any detergent provided so didn't use.Our only complaint is the lack of western style chairs. The living room only features Japanese style chairs. Which after a long day getting on the floor to relax made it difficult to get back up again.

Japanese Machiya-style house is not meant for all... Comforts are on the lower side, please don't opt for this if you have issues with bending knees and sitting at floor-level...

The check-in place and the place to stay are a bit far away. The hotel will call a taxi upon check-in.It's a very pretty, two-story place where you can feel like a traditional Japanese house. I had to choose between sleeping in a bed or on a blanket. Additional cost if you want both.It was great to be able to take a bath while looking at the garden.Overall, I really liked itThe downside is late check-in and early check-out.Disappointing times when you couldn’t leisurely enjoy your accommodations

An inn that is a renovated townhouse.A perfect place to stay for a while and blend into the city.Bicycles are also available for rent! The front desk is a little far from the inn, facing Kyoto Station. Once you check in at the front desk, it's so far that you have to take a taxi to get to the hotel. However, my guess is that Suzu likened the entire city of Kyoto to a huge hotel. The front desk is near Kyoto Station. The guest rooms are located in old, vacant houses scattered throughout the city. The hotel restaurants are likened to the countless restaurants that exist around the inn and around the city, and the public baths are like public baths in the city. There are so many souvenir shops all over the city, so the whole city feels like a big hotel. It reminded me of the idea of borrowed scenery that I heard about in Kyoto. In a tourist city like Kyoto, everything is available, so I thought it might be a good idea not to build a lot of facilities inside the hotel.
