Stayed for 4 nights. Room is cleaned only after the 4th day. It’s a budget hotel so I guess that’s expected. Loss of room key card is 3000 yen. Room is not the cleanest. Nose was reacting badly because of the aircon and dust. Cemetery beside the hotel viewable from 02 rooms. Bed was weird. Like a tatami height but normal bed frame. It’s not for me. The books … novel idea. Unfortunately I don’t read Japanese.

I wrote this review from the perspective of the book.*Please check a separate review for accommodation information.────────□About the bookThere are bookshelves scattered throughout this hotel, and you can find books selected based on themes. That theme is excellentStarting with general "work/study", "travel", "essay", "mystery", "science fiction/fantasy", "love"Niche themes such as ``Bookstore Award'', ``Books'', ``Alcohol'', ``Curry'', etc.Furthermore, there are eye-catching themes such as ``Once you read it, you'll definitely want to share it,'' ``It makes you think,'' ``It makes you feel kind,'' and ``Self-discovery.''Among them, I feel my whole heart about the book ``366 Day BOOKS,'' which was chosen every day for a year. It's also fun to search for birthday books and read them.Although the number of books on each theme is not that large, the book selection is tasteful. There are bookshelves on each floor and in each room, making it a hotel where you can freely interact with books.□ ImpressionsWhat I felt about this hotel was a ``library where you can stay'' and a ``book cafe where you can stay.''I guess it's a book version of a manga cafe.As for accommodation, as you can imagine from the price of around 5,000 yen, it is the bare minimum. There is almost no interaction with the staff, and it is more self-service than a normal hotel. Therefore, it can be said that it is an environment where you can concentrate on your book without worrying about other people's attention. In addition to staying overnight while traveling,I would like to recommend you to come and stay overnight to have some time to read a book.I don't know if I can convey it well, but...I hope you can feel it through my reading experience.***Pass through the hotel entrance to check in. There is a long bookshelf in the hallway leading to the reception desk, which immediately welcomes visitors. The most distinctive feature of the bookshelves installed at this hotel is that all the books are arranged with their covers facing forward, as if they were being displayed.Even if you don't pick up each book, you can see what kind of books are available just by walking down the aisle. In addition, all of the books have comments from the book selectors, which are very helpful when choosing a book. The book I chose this time was one I had seen at a bookstore before and wanted to read.I was able to find them easily because they were lined up with the covers facing each other. When I found this,“When I was able to sit at the last seat at a popular cafe that was always full.”There was such joy and excitement.I decided to take it to my room and start reading. The room, which looks like an apartment for a single person, has a desk, chair, and low bed, making it a perfect environment for reading.By the time I started reading, it was already night, and I suddenly remembered the book lounge on the first floor. The time is 23:00.There was no staff or guests in the silent lobby. There's no music, just the sound of cars driving outside the glass walls and the faint sounds of the air conditioner running. The book lounge, which is integrated with the lobby, has three types of chairs. Choose the sofa closest to the window. This sofa has a gently undulating shape, and you can rest your body gently in its recesses. When I placed the cushion on my back, it fit perfectly, and I was able to secure the perfect space for reading. Then, relying on the bookmark I had inserted earlier, I opened the book and slowly entered the world of the book...The sound of flipping through a book, the sound of a car running, the sound of an air conditioner...Occasionally, the sound of automatic doors opening by guests returning from a day out and the ping-pong sound of an elevator arriving can be heard in the distance. For a moment, he seems to be brought back to reality from the world of books, but he quickly returns to the world of books.I finally finished reading the last page and looked up.The quiet lobby is the same as when I first started reading. When I checked the time on my smartphone, the date had already changed and it was just past 24:00.(Thank you for reading to the end despite the length.)

With simple and clean rooms and 366 books selected by the staff, this hotel is perfect for book lovers! Each floor and room also has a selection of themed books. The theme of my room is "exercise" and I was so surprised by my current interest! This is a hotel I would like to stay at again.

A space that makes you want to read a book. The room is large. Check out 10:00. The air conditioner was so noisy that I couldn't sleep.

I made a last-minute reservation on Friday of the weekend. It's within walking distance from JR Kyoto Station and only costs ¥5,500!Kujo subway station is the closest station, but considering the transfer from JR to the subway, it is faster to walk if you don't have much luggage.Or a taxi.Probably a one meter charge.Being a BOOK HOTEL, it was really quiet, probably because the guests were reading books. The unit bath is also slightly larger than a normal business hotel. You won't get such a low price every time, but if you're looking for a hotel near Kyoto Station, I think it's worth checking out.

It's beautiful overall.Books are displayed not only at the entrance but also in the hallways and rooms for you to read.Personally, I liked being able to turn on and off all the lights in the room with the button on the bed.The bed is unusually low, making it safe even with small children.
