There is a cafe inside the hostel, which is an 8-minute walk from Kyoto Station, and this time I used the cafe. All the cafes in the station are crowded, but this cafe was quiet and relaxing. It's a renovated townhouse, so the garden is beautiful. The coffee cups and saucers were made in Hungary and Italy and had cute designs. Next time, I would like to drink coffee in a cute Polish cup.It takes about 8 mins from KST and the cafe is inside a hostel. I had a late and didn't use the hostel this time. Cafes at KST are always busy and crowded but this Cafe is quiet and slow after lunch time. The building is Kyo Machiya, a Kyoto traditional old wooden house which has a cozy small garden. Their cute cups and saucers were made in Italy and Hungary. I love to use the one from Poland next time.

Had the bad luck of getting the room that's facing the street. It's very noisy and you can hear every single person and car passing by loudly. You also need to pay for towels separately. Otherwise a nice place and good location.

It's close to Kyoto Station and the hotel is pretty both inside and out. Checking in is also easy. However, the soundproofing was not very good, so you could even hear the sound of snoring in the room across from you.I can't strongly recommend this place because it's so poorly built that it feels like a set or studio was temporarily turned into lodging...

The service and Barista are very polite and friendly. The Ryokan is beautiful with its old and historical character. If you like historical and less modern sleeping places then it's 5/5 stars. For me personally it was cold due to no sealing at the windows and due to thin walls there is no soundproofing. The central location next to the Kyoto station is great for travelling.
