Although it is an old private house, it is very well kept and the staff are very kind. The matcha tea service in the morning was a refreshing start to the day.

I stayed for one night and two days with two meals included. The food made with local ingredients and the drinks were very delicious. I'm glad it included a meal. And the hospitality of the employees was wonderful. This is a hotel where you can feel the attention to detail in everything, and I felt a sense of elegance.I was also impressed that all the drinks in the room were free. This was my first time traveling close to Fukuoka Prefecture, but it was a great trip.I would like to use it again for an anniversary.

I had high expectations since it's a large corporate hotel. There were only 2 groups staying including us, and we were 2 adults, and the other group was 1 adult and 3 children under 7 years old. When I checked in, I was warned that it was an old building so it was easy to hear noises, so I was trying to be careful when I heard the footsteps and voices of the children playing next door echoing in my room more than I expected. I was surprised when I crossed.I thought it couldn't be helped since it was a child, but it kept going on for too long, so when the staff asked me, "Did you have a good time?", I told them about this, and they told me to be careful when going to bed. I got it.However, it continued until the child went to sleep and then the sound echoed again in the morning, making it the worst. To make matters worse, when I finally checked out, I was charged the bill even though I had already paid by credit card.I felt upset and told the staff, but I was angry at the family and staff who showed no consideration for me.I was disappointed in the staff's service and the inconvenience of the facilities, which were not worth the price of one night.Although it was one of my few days off, I couldn't spend it relaxing at all.All sites seem to have high ratings, but don't be fooled. It's quite low quality.

The former home of a local sake brewery (Kitaya) and a teahouse have been renovated into a hotel. There is a warning on our hotel's web page about drafts. I was a little concerned about that, but even when I used it at the end of January, I didn't notice the cold. This time we stayed in a former tea house building, which is about a 10-minute walk from the building where the hotel reception is located. This building consists of two two-story buildings connected by a central hallway. I stayed in one of the rooms (room 202). The capacity is 4 people, and there are 2 beds on the 1st floor and futons on the 2nd floor. There were two bottles of Japanese sake in the cypress bath, and although I was told to add them to the hot water when taking a bath, I ended up drinking them.In addition, there are many free drinks (sake, wine, etc.) in the refrigerator. Then, you will have breakfast together with other guests in the brewery building where the front desk is located. Matcha is served and the meal takes about an hour, including dessert. This Yame City is my hometown. The problem was that there were not many places to stay, including business hotels, but we finally found a place to stay that we can be proud of.

We visited for lunch by reservation. With courteous and beautiful customer service, we were served four dishes made with Yame's special products, all of which were delicious in a relaxing atmosphere.

Style.100 years old former sake brewery and tea house turned hotelSetting.Old building in an area known for growing premium Japanese tea leavesExplore.Yame old townRooms.I find Nipponia hotels irresistible. My suite was immaculate, perfectly comfortable, with a wooden cypress bath, spacious living room and twin beds, plus mini bar. Ear plugs were provided because the room is right next to the entrance. While Yame is tranquil, being right next to the entrance/street, from my room (102) you could hear people talk as they walk by, drive by, park in front of the hotel & etc.Food & drinks.decent quality but I thought the dinner at Nipponia Sarawa and Kosuge were much better.Prices.Expensive @ $868Rating.4/5
