We booked a stay here well in advance with the anniversary package. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Upon arrival by car, a place was reserved for us in the outdoor parking lot, the staff took all our luggage even if it was heavy, we only speak English and all the staff made an effort so that we could communicate, a waitress who spoke good English helped and advised us perfectly throughout the stay (which was a great help with everything! From how to eat the different dishes in the restaurant to where to go for sightseeing in the surrounding area), the baths interiors and exteriors were very pleasant (yes you have to walk a bit to go to the outdoor baths but the landscapes are beautiful so it's nice), our private bath in the Kajika room was wonderful (take this room!), the food which was delicious!I recommend this establishment!!

Everyone was so kind and nice. There was no one on the way to the convenience store at night, but there was a Trial Mart open 24 hours. It was amazing.

I went for a day trip to the hot springs and lunch. We did not use the large communal bath in the hotel, but only the open-air bath.Cypress bath, lying bath, saunaKappa bath, water wheel bath, cold bathThere were 6 types. The hot water is normalThe sauna was spacious and the room temperature was just right. Lunch is three-tiered and drinks (oolong tea, beer, chuhai)(from soft drinks)The nigiri sushi has a sticky texture instead of vinegared rice, and the tempura has shrimp and lotus root. With king king king mushroom, shishito pepper, and eggplantIt wasn't freshly fried and the batter was thick and far from crispy. The roast beef and medium fatty tuna were delicious.

I made reservations for dinner and a family bath for my boyfriend's birthday. I had a great birthday thanks to the courteous service from the front desk staff, the landlady, the staff, and the waitress. The food was delicious, thank you very much. I'm planning to go there next summer with a large group of people. Thank you for your support.

The worst part is the onsen is far from the rooms, maybe a 7 min walk up the mountain via stairs. It seemed like the onsen is operated separately from the rooms. Many people from outside were using the onsen.Onsen itself was great. The staffs at ryokan were dull and seemed depressed. I have never experienced such a negative aura from ryokan. There is no train stations nearby, so I don's see any merits to this place.I wonder how the rating is so high.

It's hard to tell from the outside, but the biggest selling point here is that the building is built across a river, and as you walk around the building you can see the beautiful river from many different angles. This is a traditional inn that has been rebuilt several times and renovated in a modern style to meet various needs. Of course, the hot springs that have been gushing out since the Nara period are clear and colorless, but they are slippery.
