Someone is taking a shower all the time and I can’t wait for the bathroom...-Bathroom and toilet are cleanAnd the soundproofing is really bad. You can hear other people talking in the room and the toilet door opening and closing.

Clean, modern, but very noisy. When you enter a hotel and there is right at reception, a jar of earplugs, you know what’s about to happen. Although the Japanese are very considerate, there is a ton of foreigners who come and go through the night and take a shower at 1 AM and turn on the hairdryer in the middle of the hallway and so forth. We stayed in the first room to the left even before reception (H room) and that room has a glass wall facing the street which receives live through the whole night so the room is not even dark. One positive point is that all hotels in Lamakura were fully booked, and this was the only one left at a reasonable price so can’t complain much.

The most unpleasant experience in Japan!First impression is very good but when you’ll try to sleep…Everything is made to make the noise! Doors have no holders, hair dryers you’ll find right at the place you sleep, not in the shower rooms! Sinks as well, you’ll be bothered as much as possible! So instead of make this area further they made everything noisy right at the sleeping area!At the checking time the staff was ok.But the most disappointing was the staff in the evening. It’s not a Japanese girl. She was talking loud with guests after 11 am!She didn’t stop super loud and slamming the doors people. She just was sitting and doing her staff until I came and asked to do something! She didn’t explained that guests that there are some must rules in hostels like it was everywhere I stayed! And it’s must to keep silence and respect! She smiled just said that it’s not her business, it’s a place she just works! Sounds so rude and pretty western! As I know it’s normal to respect and take care about other people in Japan! And make everything very comfortable. They even didn’t switched off the light in the sleeping area until I asked! What a mood!Shower was good, clean, hot water. The place to sleep is pretty specious. No luggage keeping locker.Kettle, tea, coffee, microwave, towels, ear plugs, space to eat. Fan, two lights, no hangers, no hooks for clothes or towels. No space for shoes. Can’t recommend just because the organization process is failed. And it’s very sad!To care about the quietness is MUST in hostels!

I used a private room instead of a capsule bed. The explanation on hotels.com is a little confusing, but the private rooms do not have baths and toilets, but there are shared shower rooms and toilets. There is no TV, there is an air conditioner and power tap, there is a sink, hand towels, and bath towels, but there are no cups or toothbrushes. I was shown free coffee and tea in the common area, so there are cups there. Beds are a little hard. It's usually beautiful. There is a ventilation fan in the room, but when you turn it on, the air smells like cigarettes, so we recommend turning it off. I would also like them to stop placing ashtrays at entrances and exits. When I went outside around 11pm, I saw a bunch of drunk people hanging out and some smoking. The washing machine and dryer (perhaps for guests?) in the common area were making a lot of noise until around midnight.Depending on the time of day, Wi-Fi is useless. It says that the access point for the 2.4GHz band channel cannot be found, that the 5GHz band channel will be disconnected soon, that an IP address cannot be assigned, and that the number of devices is full.
