The welcome is lovelyThe rooms very clean. The atmosphere of the café which is The reception of the hostel is very cozy and calm. You can leave luggage before getting back on the plane and you can even take a shower just before leaving!! Then wait quietly in the Armchairs next to the library. Right opposite there is Jay Fai's "restaurant", 1 Michelin star! Don't look for a beautiful storefront, look for Jay Fai and his mask who cooks his famous crab omelette outside on the sidewalk!! In short, I recommend!

Lovely vintage themed boutique hostel. Location is amazing, you can walk to all the main historical sites and Chinatown in less than 30min and there is also a metro station 5min walk away. The rooms are nice and clean just like the shared bathrooms. The decor is well thought and makes you feel welcome. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they speak excellent English. Beds are not particularly comfortable but other than that everything was great.

This is the type of review that I really hope saves someone from having the experience that we did. We booked accommodation here and they met us late night at 1am. When we arrived they only then let us know that they had no room for us. I have never been treated so poorly particularly as we were so vulnerable arriving there late night. To the owners: Never do this to anyone particularly late night. They had every opportunity to notify us earlier so we could arrange another accommodation as we were in constant conversation with the owners but they only chose to tell us when we arrived there late at night. We felt like we only had the choice of where they told us to go. That accommodation made us feel extremely unsafe.I was so excited and happy to stay at this place. I literally showed it off to many for months before my travels only to have my worst accommodation experience by far. Please do better and treat people better. You missed out on a excited guest.I'm unsure how many other people this has happened to as they claimed we already wrote a review however this was not the case.

Stay here! This is an amazing hostel. Clean and with character. Brilliantly located. If KohSan road is no longer your thing or you want something quieter, this is perfect. They also have en-suite rooms in a building across the road, which is lovely and has superb common area.

We spent 4 nights with our 2 boys aged 6 and 9 in this very beautiful colonial-style hotel, ideally located in the heart of the old town of Bangkok. The staff is charming and takes great care of the customers. The rooms are pleasant, although a little noisy but without that stopping you from sleeping, and above all very clean. The meals are breakfast, are a little expensive compared to all the street food you can find around but the coffee is excellent. In short, I recommend without hesitation!

1. When booking a room, I asked if I could swipe my card. I was told that I could, but when I arrived at the venue, I asked if I could use a credit card.2. The cleanliness is not up to standard. There are visible dirt and large water stains everywhere, such as pillows, curtains, and bed sheets. The water storage basket also has thick dust that has accumulated into clumps. The drinking water provided is also very raw. The taste is so strong that even those traveling with me can't drink it.3. A folded piece of cloth is placed next to the curtain.4. It rained in Bangkok on the last day of my stay. When I returned to the room, the floor was covered with water from the leakage. I gritted my teeth and cleaned it, but it was not enough. There was an endless stream of dirty water flowing in.5. This is a very problematic room that is in urgent need of repairs, but the store owner still rents it out to make a profit.I don’t know how to recommend this accommodation. The housing experience was very scary. The employee who came to change the absorbent cloth the night before check-out promised to convey our feedback and room conditions to the morning counter. However, when we checked out, the counter still asked us to explain our stay for the past few nights again, and after hearing this, we were told that we would be given free breakfast. As compensation, we no longer want to accept any services from this store.

Absolutely horrific customer experience. We arrived and had a good first evening minus WiFi issues. The second evening we went back to our room and had 2 medium sized insects on our bed, one on our bathroom counter and one on my toothbrush.I understand bugs sometimes appear, however our room had spider webs in a lot of places too so and the windows are not properly sealed (lots of noise).Combining bugs on our beds and in our bathroom with the intermittent and unusable WiFi we decided to try and check out early. When requesting to do so we were met with an incredibly rude employee who implied that lots of people run scams (doesn’t make sense why we would, we weren’t asking for a full refund, just for the nights we will not use). The cancellation policy says that within 5 days of cancellation you pay a 1 night cancellation fee which we were willing to do. They’ll probably respond saying that the booking can only be cancelled before check in, but it clearly does not state that (only during high season it is required). The worker then told us to take it up with hostelworld, despite us paying in cash to Niras directly. After not getting anywhere with the rude worker, I asked to speak to the manager who disregarded what I was saying and told me that they can bring in the police to settle the agreement. I have travelled a lot, I have never ever been treated like this before. I was told that I should have taken pictures of the bugs as proof. In an ideal world I would have, but it didn’t cross my mind when I was removing bugs from my pillow. I’ve attached proof of Wi-Fi not working. All in all, I’m sure this hostel is fine if you don’t face any issues. If you do, be ready to meet an incredibly rude worker and a manager who works against customers instead of with them. We decided to leave without any refund due to our experience and will take it up with hostel world.Suggest avoid and find another Bangkok hostel (there are lots)Edit adding: just checked out, the worker we dealt with laughed at us. Take your business elsewhere this is a joke

I came with a group of 9 girls and it was so beautiful and convenient. Everyone was so kind and considerate and communicated very well. It is close enough to the big temples but not too close that we were in the throws in the big city. The aesthetic and atmosphere is so intoxicating and warm. The food in the cafe (on the first floor of the hostel) was so good! 1000/10 would stay here again<3
