It's old, but it's on a bit of a hill, so the view from the room and bath is great, including the illuminated Hirado Ohashi Bridge, Hirado Castle, and the church. You can also see the park next to the hotel so you won't get wet even if it rains. The view was also good...

Stayed in August 2024. A traditional tourist hotel located on a hill overlooking Hirado's port and castle. It's about a 10-minute walk up the cobblestone stairs from the Hirado Port terminal, and I enjoyed the scenic view along the way. There also seems to be a shuttle bus from Hirado Port (reservation required). If you have a lot of luggage such as suitcases, I think it would be safer to go by bus or taxi.⚫︎Hot springThe hotel consists of three buildings on a sloping site. There are 3 baths (outdoor bath, large bath, and indoor bath), and the open-air bath offers a panoramic view of the cityscape of Hirado, including the castle and port. The quality of the spring water is thick and soft. I was able to spend a very pleasant time while being blown by the gentle sea breeze.⚫︎DinnerWhen we got off the hill, there was a shopping street, so we had dinner there. There aren't many stores and it gets pretty crowded, so I think it's best to make a reservation if possible. The restaurants include a Japanese restaurant that serves seafood from the Hirado area and a yakiniku restaurant that serves Hirado beef.By the way, in one part of the shopping district, the electronics store that became Japanet Takata's roots is still in operation.⚫︎BreakfastIt was a buffet centered on local cuisine (jigemon) from Nagasaki and Hirado, and it was a very nutritious meal.⚫︎FacilityIt's an old-fashioned inn, so the building itself is showing its age, and there are some parts that look questionable, such as the door not opening and closing, but it seemed like it was kept well-maintained. There was a children's space at the back of the gift shop, and I was grateful that my children were able to play inside the hotel.

This hotel is located on a hill overlooking Hirado Port. You can see Hirado Castle and Xavier Memorial Church from the open-air bath on the rooftop.Even though I checked in while it was still daylight, I was surprised to find a futon already laid out in the room.
