When I was looking for a place to eat on the shores of Lake Towada on the evening of September 2nd, I found that all the shops had their shutters closed and not a single one was open. The only craft shop open was Yuzuriha, so when I went inside and asked if any other shops were open, the female manager explained that neither shop was open at night. Then, the manager, whose home was a backpackers shop, immediately called my husband and asked if he could prepare extra dinner, and we ended up being able to have dinner here at a reasonable price. Ta. What's more, I was able to enjoy the grilled pork belly that the whole family wanted to eat!Even though it was just dinner, I felt apologetic and visited the restaurant after 6pm, but the manager of Yuzuriha greeted me at the entrance and made me feel at ease.There was a large and clean dining space, and there were guests, Japanese and foreigners.Grilled roses, just delicious.It was a special time where I was able to experience the kindness of people in the land of Towada, and also enjoy delicious local gourmet food.Thank you very much to the wives and husbands of Backpackers.

Very affordable and square accommodation near Lake Towada, only a 7-8 minute walk from the lake. The room was large and clean, and the dinner was unexpectedly delicious. The restaurant also has home-brewed fruit wine, but unfortunately I didn’t try it. The owners of the B&B were very kind and welcoming. It’s a lovely place!

For an additional 350 yen, we were able to use the spacious public baths of two neighboring inns.The hostess was kind, and I was able to add dinner for an additional 1,000 yen on the spot if I had arrived in the evening. A 1,000 yen dinner at a backpackers' inn may seem expensive, but Towada Barayaki was delicious. I was able to eat a lot of rice and was very satisfied. The location was also accessible through the Oirase Stream, so I felt like I was lucky. There was Towada Shrine nearby, so I should have gone there. I would like to stay there again if I have the chance.

Since my purpose was to see the Nebuta festival, it was a good place to go in the middle of the night. We have kind staff.
