The hotel web site mentions that the building is being renovated during the first half of 2024. The site refers to scaffolding on the walls. It does not warn guests that the scaffolding partially obscures the views from all the windows. If you were looking forward to that beautiful view of the island in the bay, check with the hotel to find out if the scaffolding has been removed yet. We were unpleasantly surprised.

Nice location on the beach with every room having a great view.Rooms are dated and corridor carpets have many dirty stains.Onsen facilities have all amenities with an indoor and outdoor bath, as well as 2 small but comfortable tubs for a single person each!Dinner and breakfast were both excellent, plentiful, with fresh seafood and vegetables and of course "Japanese".Please don't expect a Continental breakfast!Staff were friendly and accommodating at every request.Definitely a nice place to stop while in northern Honshu.

This is one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had, especially for the price!! All the rooms, baths, and dining rooms are facing the ocean. There is a FREE shamisen performance every night from 8:30-9. The breakfast was really wonderful, with endless rice, miso soup, milk, and apple juice.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. The service was outstanding, and the facilities were beautiful. It's very worth it to pay for the sea view in my opinion! The outdoor area of the bath was clean, and the views of the ocean were wonderful. As I left I forgot something in my room and one of the staff members called me and drove to the station to return it! I was blown away.I cannot recommend this place enough!

The outside looks rather run down. However the interior and the rooms are really nice and well maintained. The family style rooms/suites are spacious and the futon beds are comfy if you layer a couple. The Onsen has two baths, one indoor and one open air. Both overlooking the Mutsu Bay.The dinner and breakfast included with the stay are phenomenal! I strong recommend you don't miss out on them. The Asamushi Aquarium in literally across the street, along with a Mini Stop for any snack needs. Otherwise they're doesn't seem to be a lot in the immediate area, but Aomori is a quick drive or train ride

I had some good memories of the trip.A 10-story hotel located along the coast, a little away from the hot spring town of Asamushi Onsen. All guest rooms have ocean views.A wonderful location where you can see Mutsu Bay in front of you and Mt. Iwaki in the distance. The bath is on the third floor, and in addition to the horizontal bathtub, there is also a semi-open-air bath, and the view from here is equally good. Both dinner and breakfast are delicious, with plenty of fresh seafood prepared in the dining hall. The quality of the food is high for a hot spring hotel serving a large number of people. After dinner, we were able to enjoy live Tsugaru Shamisen music for free, and we had many fond memories of our trip with old friends.

The front is still undergoing exterior construction and scaffolding has been erected, but the scaffolding has already been removed at the back (seaside) and the view was spectacular. I stayed on the 7th floor of a 10-story building, and although the view was the same on each floor, it was nice to see it differently. The public bath is on the 3rd floor, but the island in front of you looks much closer and bigger, so the evening and morning baths were great! The staff also responded courteously. They are also happy to take photos with your family. The food was also delicious. You can choose from two main dishes for dinner: meat or abalone, and you can also choose one of three ways to eat the abalone: steak, grilled, or steamed. It came with shabu-shabu, but the solid fuel was small, so when I was eating slowly, the fire went out quickly, so I had to ask the staff a couple of times for more solid fuel. Women, people with small children, and elderly people are more likely to need extra fuel, so it's a good idea to remember that if you ask, they'll add it to you!
